Same ol’ Yeti, Newer and Lighter!
Wow! Love how this is 2lbs lighter than the older all steel version! I travel for a living and the extra 2lbs in my checked in bag has been a lifesaver. Not to mention when it’s full of ice and water. Not as he’s y to carry. Speaking of ice! I’ve noticed that my water stays cold all day long and even into the next day!! I fill up this jug 2x a day and I live the new version!

Silo 1/2 Gallon Falls Short…..(But It’s Cute)
I love ALL my Yeti purchased….this Silo, not so much. The Good: It’s lightweight and the lid is so much easier to screw on & off . The color Venom is awesome The Not So Good: My metal gal Yeti jug will keep ice for up to two days on my bedside table. With this new Silo, the ice didn't even last a full 12 hours. (Bedroom temp was 68 degrees) The Silo is “cute” but it’s “plastic” (overpriced) & not up to Yeti standards. This summer, the bedroom will be warmer, so I’ll be going back to my gallon heavy duty jug(s) that will keep my ice for up to 2 days. That being said, I love Yeti products especially the 16 Oz, no leak commuter. Out of my over 20 Yeti products, this is the only product that doesnt “make the grade”. (But It’s Cute & Lightweight)
It’s plastic!
This is a plastic jug! I did a side by side comparison and this is significantly inferior at keeping items cold. It lasts approximately 50% less time. It is larger than a 64 oz, but I suspect that is for ading extra ice. The only reason I like it is for the attached straw and ease of use. I have bought the other 64oz and they are really hard to open so that was not an option for me. Yeti….do better! At least do better at notification that this is plastic and expensive for plastic.
Too Big, Leaks. Big Disappointment.
The overall physical presence of this is just stunning. It's so large compared to the opening and what it holds. If you like seltzer and you put the top on it, it floods out the sides and the straw if left up and floods the countertop. Tipped in bed to take a sip and my linens and pjs were soaked. This leaks. There are better products out there in this size that do not leak, are much smaller and keep things cold 40+ hours.
Clip it before you stick it
Very nice and big but the jug is much bigger than the size of what it holds. The stainless steel seem to hold more but they weigh more too. It does have a cool handle you can clip to something, however with its size you couldn’t clip it to a bag or pant buckle. The ice definitely melts faster than the original stainless. But over all it’s a Yeti, so yea, it’s great!
Great sports water jug! Wish had side handle.
Great sports water jug! I love the design and concept of this sports water jug. It keeps water cold! And it doesn’t let the ice come through when you drink. I just wish it had side handle or a side grip area that was smaller. The current design it’s too big to grip. So I have to hold it on the bottom where it sits on the palm of my hand to fill it up for my kids.
Indoor jug not for outdoor sports
I live in Texas the ice won’t last more than 15 minutes when the gallon is taken outside. I bought this gallon for daughter for my daughters softball tournaments. This gallon is more for indoor sports not for outdoors sports. I would go back to the original half a gallon metal jug. Do not recommend this jug for hot environment.
No ice tea
I got this product because I take my lunch to work. Thinking it would hold ice tea very well. But the joke was on me dose not even make 12 hours before all the ice melts. Had my name printed on it so can not return. Not worth the money. Have a cheap jug keeps ice tea for 2 days.
