Bike packing tent
I was a little disappointed that it set up so fast in the dark. I have grown accustomed to a long drawn out process of making camp and this set up so fast and easy that I got stuck on water duty. The pockets are perfect inside and vestibule was very nice. The zipper didn't snag at night when I got up to pee so that was an instant win!
Get the footprint.
The footprint doesn't weigh any more than a homemade one cut from a plastic tarp. It's a perfect size. It attaches sturdily to the tent body and poles. It helps protect the quite thin tent floor from rocks, sticks, etc. I've been camping with Scouts for over 40 years. In that time I've owned over a dozen tents. The ones that lasted 15-20 years are the ones I had good ground cloths (now called footprints) for.
Wonderful tent, not just for bikepacking
This makes a fantastic tent for backpacking, bikepacking or even car camping if you are packing light. Definitely not a 3 person tent unless one of those persons is a kid or you all love each other VERY much. It's more of a 2+ person tent. Lighter than most 2 person tents out there with more room. Wonderful stuff!
Perfect for Bikepacking Adventures
I use this tent for bikepacking and backpacking. Super light weight, easy to set up and take down, plenty of room for gear, and it kept me dry in heavy rain.
Keeping your tent cleaner
Very good footprint , just know you do need to purchase extra stakes to keep it down. If not it will fly all over while setting up your tent.
foot print is too big.
foot print only works with fly only pitching otherwise it channels water underneath the tent.
Necessary
I believe in always bringing a footprint. Its been great to protect the floor of my tent.
One of a Kind
Of all the footprints for the Tiger Wall UL3, I like this one the best.
it fits well with the tent but, the price is too high imo.
