Great tent. Easy set up without reading the instructions(stubborn man). Tons of vents and pockets. Wish it came with the poles for vestibule/awning set up. REI wants $60 ea for those.
I live in Alaska and my wife and I used this tent for the first time on a week long hunting trip in the talkeetnas, it rained a lot, but we never had any water or moisture in our tent at any time. We love this tent, it's easy for the two of us to set up, the zippers work well and there's plenty of venting. Something we especially liked is the inside storage, lots of mesh pockets around the inside and lots of loops to attach clothes lines for hang drying clothes. Would definitely buy again and will definitely buy more big Agnes products as the quality was evident as soon as I pulled the tent out of the box, thanks for the great product!
We bought this tent as an upgrade to our REI Kingdom 6. We love the Kingdom 6 but have narrowly survived a few nights of thunderstorms and high winds. You know the nights I am talking about - lying there watching the frame bend and sway while the occasional raindrop finds its way through the rainfly to whack you in the face. I just couldn't risk another one of those nights. The Mad House 6 is a beast and laughs at those high winds and large raindrops. The build quality, material thickness, and pole strength is unparalleled. Surprisingly, it is 11sq ft larger than the Kingdom 6 and only weights 2 more ounces. I assume the designers at BA accomplish this through superior design and a lower ceiling. We couldn't be happier with the Mad House.
The Big Agnes Mad House 6 is an outstanding family and group camping tent. The build quality is excellent, with durable materials, sturdy poles, and thoughtful design features that inspire confidence in a wide range of weather conditions. It feels like a premium product from the moment you unpack it. The interior is incredibly spacious, with plenty of room for multiple campers, gear, and comfortable movement inside the tent. Despite its size, setup is surprisingly straightforward thanks to the intuitive pole structure and well-designed components. Everything fits together smoothly, making camp setup quick and stress-free. If you’re looking for a roomy, well-built, and user-friendly tent that will serve you for years, I highly recommend the Big Agnes Mad House 6.
We christened this tent on a 2-day trip to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Simply an AMAZING tent. Rock solid, quality construction. Easy to setup. Absolutely cavernous. Totally exudes quality, stability and engineering. We could not believe all the internal storage spots and ventilation ports. One of our best outdoor purchases ever.
The floor plan is awesome. Super easy to put up. Great tent!
