We got surprised by a serious thunderstorm that transformed into light snow at snow in Mammoth (it was supposed to be sunny and in the mid 50s). This tent kept us all dry and warm - we camped with our 5 and 9 years old. We didn't even have to use extra blankets when it started to snow at 6am, this tent has a great insulation. We bought this model (which by the way is very spacious for a 4 people tent), after loosing our high end old one in a wind storm in Death Valley NP. Now we feel like we can face any unexpected weather situation!
This product actually looks like a five star tent if what you need is a tent for a surprise snowstorm in Mammoth as that other reviewer. Me, I camp in Texas, and Arkansas and occasionally Colorado. I was drawn in by the great sale price. I set my tent up in the yard - in fact, it is a fantastic four-season tent ready for a snowstorm in Mammoth. Not a 92-degree day at Colorado Bend SP. I couldn't tell in the pictures what the walls really looked like. Let me tell you. They are walls. There are four mesh windows around the walls and some half mesh doors at front and back. It's a fantastic tent. Not for Texas. I'm getting the Bunk House. I just finally wore out my Big Agnes Eureka 6-person which has been so fantastic. Until the zipper on the front door broke a few years ago, no problem we use the back door. Then a pole broke. No problem I fixed it. Then...after all these years, ten years, it started to leak. Wah! So I will stick with BA for it's amazing rain ability since I camp in...Texas. Where it rains. A lot. And Colorado. And Arkansas.
Perfect tent lots of room not meant for hot weather tho ventilation is there. The fly zips are persnickety catches easily but could not flaw this tent at all. I use heavier stakes
