Absolutely LOVE it! So comfortable, not tight, lightweight. Great jacket!
My favorite part of this jacket might be the two-way zipper. I know that seems like such a minor detail, but it's a real clutch detail for me. I can use this feature to make the bottom opening of the jacket a little wider to make it more comfortable (since my hips are wider than my shoulders). And I can also use it to create a bit of a vent to keep me from overheating while still keeping it zipped closed at the top. Aside from that feature, I do love so much else about this jacket. The soft lining on the pockets is a nice touch and the overall warmth of the jacket is great. The pockets are generously sized, including the chest pocket. It's lightweight, but keeps me warm on chilly days.
Great coat for packing and warmth on backcountry skis. I really like Mountain Hardware’s fit. I own a downhill coat and bibs as well. They all fit well on their own and when I layer underneath! With layers I don’t feel like a stuff sausage and have good mobility which is so important!! The jacket in color blue was on sale. Beautiful color & great price I am a 67 year old gal that is 5’3 , 125lbs. I wear a small in jacket and small short in bibs.
I bought this coat ~1.5 years ago. It was on sale at a local store at such a good price I bought it even though I didn't need a new down coat. I didn't wear it much until this winter. I like the outer fabric that seems to be a bit more resistant to moisture than typical down jackets. I'm 5'6", 145 lbs and have the Medium. The fit is a little boxy, but it is extremely comfortable to wear and roomy enough for a sweater underneath. Keeps me cozy in temperatures down in the 20s. I agree with another reviewer that the fabric picks up stains easily - I can see more dark staining around the neck despite light wear compared to other jackets I have (it's the outer dark color w/ black logo). I haven't washed it yet to comment about clumping. The only larger drawback I've found is the hood is not generous enough to fully cover my head or stay on to protect from wind/snow/rain/cold.
Solid Travel Jacket. We took our jackets to Croatia a few weeks ago. It’s was 35°-ish the entire time with light snow and sleet and the jackets held up and kept us warm. They shed moisture ok, but do dry out well. Warm as heck. They don’t pack down into a pocket per se, but compress well enough for our travel purposes. Bonus- we got them on sale!
This jacket is the perfect weight. I’ve worn it on hikes when it was 20 degrees and when it was 50 degrees. I love the light weight, so that even adding a backpack and binoculars, I am nimble. But I love just wearing it around town too. I’ve gotten lots of compliments.
MHW quality is still the best around. Lightweight and durable jacket. Perfect for spring. It's had some water resistance which makes it great for the random spring sprinkle
Fits just right so you can wear a layer underneath. The stretch in the jacket makes it extremely comfortable for outdoor activities. Highly recommend
Just a well made jacket. Warm but does overheat. I have wide hips and this sits nicely around my hips as well. Seems like this will last me years
Love the stretch fabric. It moves with me and doesn't get bunched up when I have a backpack on. Very light and very warm.
