This: a long range spotlight!

Wow, this light has a serious beam. It is a narrow beam. But it also has other options! A nice flood is one of them. So you can use this light for various scenarios. I test dropped it from around 3ft- on smooth concrete. Twice! It works fine! Tested it in water, and it floats too! No problem, except water may get in behind switch, which isn’t a huge deal, because there are no wires from it to the main body! Apparently a nifty magnetic switch! Pretty neat idea, I’d say. Carabiner thing on top, unsure how tough it is, but it may be fine. Charging is done by taking off back cover, which allows you to put AA batteries in for backup. Just don’t ever break off the plastic stick piece on the cover off while out in the woods. Overall, a bright idea of a light. Multiple uses, and if you’re wondering if it can shine a long distance…it sure can! In my experience with bright lights, this shines in the distance category! (And don’t forget, other options too.)

LS50R THIS LIGHT IS AMAZING!

I cannot use this light enough! I love it, my entire yard is lit up by just one light now. We live very deep in the woods with many of natures not so nice creatures (bears, skunks, bobcats, fox, etc) and we have a small farm with chickens and such, so a light is a must, a bright light is even better! With just the pull of the trigger I can see either the donkey or I can light up the entire chicken run with just 2 pulls and quickness is important there is no delay is the burst of brightnesses. It charges quickly, the carabiner clip is great especially when I’m carrying bales of hay into the darkness for the horses. I am ordering a second one today!

Fantastic light

This little light really packs a punch! I say little because I expected a big light, given the design style, but it fits in the hand perfectly and is easy to carry, yet it really throws a bright beam. It's so bright that when I shine it in my backyard before letting the dogs out at night (bear country), I have to be careful not to shine it in anyone's windows or it will be a problem, and my neighbors aren't that close. This will be prefect for camping, so I think I'll get a second one. Just be aware that if you have a Mac computer, you'll need a different USB cable than what's included to charge it (it also can run on batteries).

Fantastic beam options.

This is a recent purchase which I immediately put to use on my sailboat when returning to the harbor at night. The spot beam is wonderful as is the flood and the combination beam. I don't see the SOS signal as particular useful but that's just a personal perspective. I do think the LD50R would benefit from having two switches, the existing trigger to turn the light on/off and a SEPARATE switch to select the desired beam. I do not like having to pull the trigger multiple times through a sequence of beams just to select the beam that I want. I also do not like having to wait 6 seconds to turn off the selected beam. Turning it off earlier results in moving through the beam sequence which disturbs night vision. Notwithstanding, it is still an excellent quality product.

Size and weight

The size was larger and heavier than expected. I have and old Craftsman waterproof LED but NiCad battery which is 25% smaller and 1/2 the weight. I was fishing out of a 19' Center console boat the other day before dawn and didn't want to bring it because only was for a few hours. Definitely needs to be redesigned.

Great little spotlight

This light is small with a big punch. The only thing I get annoyed with is the trigger. Should be trigger on off application. I have to cycle through the modes to turn off. I understand I can wait a few seconds and it will shut off when I hit the switch. But that’s minor! Again great light!

Great light

I got this light about a week ago hands down one of the best spotlights I’ve owned with multiple different light modes, it’s bright, has a great beam, waterproof and floats. The only thing I’m not a fan of is where the charging port is at other than that you couldn’t ask for a better spotlight

excellent light

I was sent this light to review. Very good for sporlighting, as well as a normal flashlight. The charge lasted a long time and the light is light weight. The high beam is a long distance beam. It has a stand for hands free operation. i rate the light as excellent and would certainly buy!

Excellent spot light

This spot light really lights the night. Excellent sharp crisp beam of light and also super clear and bright flood light Feature. The size is very impressive and the futures are also impressive. It is also nice to be able to add batteries when the built-in battery runs out.

Great Spotlight

This spot light is incredibly bright and having the ability to change the beam is amazing. Also the kick stand is a nice addition and it even has a built in clip.
