Arc'teryx  Clarkia AR Pants - Women's

It would be helpful if Arcteryx would modify their sizing guide for each individual garment to save un-necessary shipping back and forth. These do not fit like the clarkia cotton version so don't size based on those. My 2S cotton pair sit 2.5" longer than the 2R AR. The waist from the 2S to 2R is slightly bigger. I like the sturdiness of this material, the new shape, and the belt that comes with it. However with the rise of the fit the belt sits in a bad spot when wearing with a climbing harness or hiking pack. The previous synch worked better under a harness. In terms of warmth the cotton version is much better at retaining heat and blocking wind but you offset with some rain repellency and faster drying with the AR. Otherwise a great stretchy bouldering pant and for causal hiking.

I thought I was getting the classic clarkia pant but these are totally different. Firstly the colour is not brown, they are green. They fit tight in the butt, loose everywhere else, and incredibly short. I’ll sadly be returning these, I had high hopes. I think I’ll try the Nia pants next.

For cooler hiking climbing weather, great pants of high quality, design and fit are conducive for rugged outdoor activity. 5’1” 115#’s and size 2 regular fall just below my ankles for a comfortable fit. Love these pants. Will get many years use.

My favorite Arc’teryx pant so far, solely for my preference of this CUT & FIT! I’m 5’4 and I wear my true to size in the short length to create a slight barrel shape to the pant. The material is thick and durable. Highly recommend!
