FLEXTAIL  Tiny Shower Bucket - 20 Liters

I took this into the backcountry with the intent of heating up water on my stove and having the occasional hot shower. There is virtually no way to fill this without a spigot. If I had a spigot, I wouldn’t have needed a cap shower. There’s no structural integrity and it just collapses and folds over when you try to put water in it from a pot. The on/off switch is also incredibly frustrating unless the whole thing is full. Again, no structural integrity. Sadly I will be returning it and going back to my USB powered shower hose and hefty storage bin which works much better.

So I was really worried about using this at Electric Forest after seeing some reviews around, and I have to say, it was way better than I expected. The cons first: The bag does not stay upright very well. The pictures make it look like it has some extra rigidity in the sides, but it does not. The buttons being on the bag makes literal sense, but makes using it a bit tricky when trying to conserve water and power. It does not self heat. The pros: The battery lasted way longer than I expected, I think those that complain about it have never had to take real camp showers, and don't understand you have to conserve both water and energy. I would turn the battery on, and would only turn the pump on low setting when I needed to rinse myself. Whenever I was actively not using the water, I turned the pump off, and closed the head as well. This is why the button on the bag sucked, because I had to bend over every time to turn it off, but it was not so bad I hated it. WATER PRESSURE. Even on low, it felt so nice to be able to rinse off from pressure and agitation. Gravity feed showers work, but having that feeling of a shower head was really great. Size. It packs quite well, and holds a very good amount of water. My partner and me could both shower 2 times before charging it. Battery size. It is not so huge that a solar panel cant refill it easily, and its not so small it dies immediately when used properly. Things I would change: It really should come with some sort of stand or have slots for supports or something. It falls over, a lot, on uneven ground. I just put it in a 5 gallon bucket and it was fine. It should totally come in black so it can heat water. Even just a strip or 2 of black would go a long way. Pump shutoff buttons on the shower head or on the top of the bag. The button being on the side and having no angle to it was really annoying at times. Feels like the controls can be moved to the top and keep the pump at the bottom. All that being said, 7/10, probably going to get another. Be sure to have a solar bag to pour hot water into this, and you will have a REALLY nice time.
