Dometic  Recon Rechargeable Faucet 2.0

Got this on the Labor Day sale and already put it to the test. Was able to setup super easy and battery last way longer than I would have expected. I didn’t even get a chance to have to charge it yet. This faucet is simple and durable. I set it up for my over landing vehicle and immediately dropped it on my driveway and didn’t even damage or ding it. I ran 15 gallons of water through it straight out of the box and didn’t have to charge it. I love that it is USB-C like all my other electronics and will be an amazing addition to my camping kitchen!

I like this faucet. It means I don't have to pour water from bulky water jugs for my needs. It's small, easy to use, and works perfectly with the dometic water jugs- getting down to almost the last drop. I love that it is rechargeable- no batteries required. My only complaint is that it doesn't move water very quickly, so it takes a while to fill up a bike bottle or a dog water bowl- but I can live with that.

Been using mine for over 4 years and still going strong. Saves water and you don’t have to ask anyone else for help.

Great product that has become an essential part of my overlanding kit. The newer generation with real buttons and two flow rates is a big improvement over the last (still excellent) model. Highly recommended!

The pump/faucet is of high quality. It provides good pressure on low/high modes. I would definitely buy it again.

Be aware that Dometic will use any excuse to deny a warranty claim. I had the earlier version of this faucet. After two years, it stopped working. It supposedly has a three year warranty. I filed a warranty claim. They asked me to send a video of the device not charging and not holding a charge. I brought it out of my camper and into my home and recorded the video. They told me the warranty was void because I used a non-Dometic cord in the video to charge the device. Nevermind that it was already broken and the cord was much higher quality than the cheap cord they include with it. I asked a clarifying question twice and they never responded to me again. Also be aware that Dometic's website says to return to the place of purchase for warranty service, but REI doesn't handle warranty claims, so it required some work to even find out how to get them to honor the warranty. I refuse to buy any Dometic product in the future as a result of their lack of character and dishonorable practices. Also, be aware that at this price, you can buy ten to twelve knockoff versions and even if it breaks within a year, which I had happen and thought the Dometic would be better, you will still get twelve years of use from twelve devices, which is six times more than I got out of this junk. So, if you want a poor quality product and a company that won't stand behind their warranty, go ahead and purchase this item.

If you’re looking for a simple electric water pump, I bought one on ebay for $10.00. Fits onto a 5 gallon water jug. USB rechargeable. Yeah, it has a slow flow rate but it does the job for a fraction of the price.

Appears used. Top has multiple scratches and smudges. Had to clean it, only scratches now. Debating returning it
