First time wearing it, wore it for less than 10 minutes in the lightest sprinkle I could imagine and the shoulders are already soaked through. This is not a rain jacket. I wanted to be able to wear it for light summer rains and it can’t even handle the lightest. Sprinkle, I’d be better off without a jacket lol
This is a really cute jacket and I LOVE all the adaptability -- I wear this most of the time as a short sleeve windbreaker when I'm around town, riding my bike, going for a run... but yeah, totally not a rain jacket, I think that description needs to change. Was it even meant to be a rain jacket?? It sure doesn't look like it, but it's a FABULOUS windbreaker. Packs in my pocket, the sleeves come off, super cute fit...
Aesthetically, the jacket looks so cute and would cover a lot of functions with the snap on/off sleeves and hood. It’s also cropped a bit so the hem hits me perfectly at the hip (short torso). Functionally, it does not work in many ways that I expected of a “light rain jacket”. It is not waterproof (not that it claimed to be), and it is also not water repellant in any way! Any form of water (a sprinkle of rain or body sweat) is immediately absorbed by the jacket material
