I had the fortune to meet the GRAYL crew at the Overland Expo west in Arizona. They answered all my questions about the products I had in my cart online for weeks, the Mission 35L included. I used it for a 4 day 3 night hike into Havasupai Falls. This bag didn’t disappoint. From it being hydration compatible to the many pockets to keep smaller gear organized. But not so many that you can’t find anything. And the comfort was next level. I had roughly 40lbs of gear and hiked it in 10 miles. It’s my new go to bag. There a many other things I really like about this bag line that g-mod system. I could go on and on. I highly recommend it
Over the years I have had a number of top name packs. They all usually have something that drives me nuts. Both Functionally and for the sake of convenance both on a long hike in and at camp. I wasn't familiar with Grayls packs but someone there obviously spends some time in the mountains. Every complaint I have about my other packs is addressed in this one. I went with the 35L for a couple night trips. I'm really looking forward to putting this thing through the paces. Great job team, you've created a super functional pack with all the pockets, pouches and accessory attachment capabilities I want in the places I want them.
I’m a photographer that goes hiking, backpacking, camping, fishing… I’m roughly 5’10 and 190, mostly lean. I had a list of needs that I could not find in a backpack. I.e, I wanted a bladder pouch, I wanted a laptop sleeve, I wanted comfort, I wanted durable, I wanted space for camera gear, I wanted deep pockets. At first I was a little overwhelmed thinking “how am I going to fit all this stuff?” And I was extremely hesitant to buy this big because of the lack of reviews and YouTube videos. I am very niche. I live by Osprey and have the atmos AG. It fell off a ski lift once with my camera gear inside and everything was perfect. Swore I would never get another brand. But carrying backpacking bag to a brewery or photoshoot only makes me look tacky and kind of stupid. This bag is not only aesthetically pleasing, it can hold my camera gear perfectly. It also has a desperate bladder pouch so I don’t need to worry about water leaking into my camera gear. The laptop compartment is separate from both as well and feels extremely durable. I’m extra bougie about making sure my electronics are protected because it’s my money and pride being carried. I trust this bag enough to throw it around with that stuff inside. It’s SOO durable, unnecessarily but that’s also a cool thing. Because zippers are water rated, they’re not going to open extremely smooth but it’s also doable with one hand. Only gripe I would have is that the black shows dog hair but it can be wiped off easily. It also gets dirty quickly and holds the dirt but nothing a quick wipe down won’t fix. I’m glad I made this decision, I love that I can add a bit more storage with the Molle pouches. I hope they add red down the line for a first aid kit or something. Definitely risk it and get this, you won’t be disappointed. P.S. be warned that people may think you’re the person to protect them God forbid a fight breaks out because you’re carrying this bag. May want to factor in the cost of fighting lessons so you don’t disappoint
This backpack definitely packs a ton of inspiration. There are a ton of pocket organization options with the ad on mod attachments. The options are endless and create a nice opportunity to customize the pack exactly how you want it. I would absolutely buy this again. It holds 2-3 of my Grayl bottles too.
Military grade. Using G-mod system, easy to customize for each trip (day hike vs week long trip). Comfortable. Adjustable shoulder/chest/waist straps. Have used on 10 trips since purchase and no cons come to mind. Age: 60s. 6’3” 220 lbs. Use: AT trail in GA/NC/TN mountains. . highly recommend.
I was so excited to get this, and I was not disappointed at all…. . In fact I was even more impressed with it when it arrived. It’s extremely well made and thought out Very durable and innovative. . !!! Definitely a must have for Adventurists I would highly recommend this
I was a little hesitant since i previously owned just a geopress and nothing else from this company. It is well constructed and comfortable. It rains a lot where I am from in Alaska and it kept the rain out w/o issue.
Just received it last week haven’t really had time to pack it yet so I’m still going to have to experiment with it before I can give an honest review but overall the quality seems nice. It seems very versatile.
This pack is an excellent choice. Although a bit on the heavier side, but with that being said it makes up for the weight with its durability.
This bag not only looks great but feels great on your back. I love the amount of pockets it has on the outside that are easy access.
