Very comfortable, held everything I needed for the hike that day. Weight distribution was excellent when loaded. Staff at REI fitted me and after Tyra couple bags I went with a slightly larger bag as its overall fit was a lot more comfortable.
I have two Ospreys fir different excursions. Today i tried this new one on a few miles of the AT in North Carolina. I love the pack. The only negative is i couldn't get the magnet to hold on the feeder tube from the water bladder. It kept popping loose. I will mess with it a bit
I have owned countless packs made by many of the leading and not so leading brands: backpacks, daypacks, overnighters, hydration etc. This is hands down the most intelligently designed pack of them all. Has all kinds of convenient features and is very comfortable. And it's an Osprey, so even though I've used it on only one long day hike so far, I trust it will be durable. I like lots of pockets, and this has many with some clever placements. But if your a top loader only fan, this pack may not be for you; or it may convince you to change your ways. Another bonus: this pack does not have the clear plastic loop that so many packs over the years dangle from one of the arm straps; I've never been able to figure out what the heck that is for (glasses? baseball cap?) and am glad it has been dispensed.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great pack. Plenty of room for everything you will need on your hike. Hydration bag has separate pocket which is super nice. The suspension system that lets your back breathe is amazing. Waist belt fits perfectly and is not too bulky. Quality material. Should last a long time.
Solid day pack for longer hikes when you need to carry a lot of water or a lot of gear. This holds 25lbs pretty easily. I was looking for a pack that could carry a lot of weight but wasn’t too big for Big Bend. This pack was perfect
I would like to give a positive review, but because of their lousy customer service and even worse shipping, a poor review is all I can do. I haven't received the product YET, so my review is on customer service and shipping.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This backpack is simply perfect for all day hiking with lots of gear! Highlights for me are: - Insanely comfortable with it's AirSpeed suspension system and adjustable frame - Plenty of pockets for all my gear -Large separate reservoir compartment which takes up to a 3l bladder - Sturnum strap is really comfy, it has a stretch to it for movement and a quick magnetic closure for one handed operation - Load lifters are great - Stow-on-the go system is awesome, I mainly use it to carry my 360 camera and carbon pole for filming, but in the winter it'll be great for my trekking poles too - Hip belt is super comfy and wide - Hip pockets are big and easy to access and zip open/close compared to the Talon it replaced - Dual access side pockets offer flexibility for extra bottles/gear - Included rain cover Yes it is expensive and heavier than other packs but it's so comfy you forget the weight! It's also so practical for gear and access to everything you need and comes with a bladder and rain cover so I feel it's actually really good value. It's also built like a tank and backed up by Osprey's awesome warranty. Buy it and you won't be dissapointed!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The pack fit all my gear and worked great for my recent day hikes in Zion National Park.
