I love the tapered fit of these pants. The material is light but feels very durable. Bonus points because the white is NOT see-through, which is a feat in and of itself. I'm 5'9, usually between a size 8 and 10 and I got the L and it fits perfect - so I'd say for generic American sizing, they run slightly small.

The best pants!! For hiking, everyday, city wear, travel. I love the fit - slightly tapered, roomy enough in the thigh and leg without feeling sloppy. The waist is lovely bc of the elastic in back giving a perfect fit. Great pockets and the material is durable and slightly stretchy. The cream color is not see through and I love the subtle contrast stitching. I am 5'10'' and the length is spot on - great for taller ladies!
