My favorite hiking backpack ever. Very well thought out; from the raincover to the water holster to the bladder option to the sunglasses strap to the extra loops for external storage. Comfortable as any loaded backpack can be.
I had a hard time finding an XS pack that worked for me, but this one was perfect. For reference I'm 5'4'' and 118lb. I love how it contours to my back and overall is extremely comfortable. I've loaded it up with about 25-30lb and taken it on two 6+ night trips and it feels great. Yeah, the pack is heavier than I would like but it's worth it. And yeah, the pockets on the hip belt unfortunately can't hold a phone, but I have shorts that hold my phone nicely instead.
Bought this fora month long trip. Love the U shaped zipper and the zip pockets on the front. Don’t like the weight….the weight was not as advertised and much toooo heavy. They need to lighten it up. Didn’t notice a difference with the swivel straps and hip belt. Belt pockets are toooo small. I’d rather have a water holster on the belt. I lost 2 aluminum water bottles because side pocket wasn’t deep enough to hold them securely and no place to lash them in. Don’t like the built in water bottle holder on the side. Also not deep enough to hold a larger sized water bottle. I’d rather have deep mesh pockets. I’m returning the pack. I didn’t think the weight of the pack would make such a difference.
Used the Deva 60 for the first time this weekend and it is VERY comfortable! I'm sure it'll be even better once I've broken it in more, but would highly recommend this pack. My trip was a day trip so I haven't used it yet for multiple nights, but don't foresee any issues with getting everything I need in it. The Deva 60 has typical features and storage pocket options as other 60 packs I've looked at. I am 5'3 120 lbs and the XS size fits me great.
Love this pack! It took some figuring out, the first time I used it was super uncomfortable (carrying 40ish awkward lbs increased the curvature on the pack and made the weight ride on my lower back instead of hips). But with some adjusting and keeping the weight closer to 33-35 lbs, it’s been great. I love all the pockets for easy organization, and it was heavenly to find a pack actually made for my size (15” torso, got the XS). 16” is the lowest maximum I’ve seen for a pack’s torso range and it makes such a big difference in comfort to have the maximum limit be close to your actual size! The only minor annoyance was not having an easy access spot to stash a phone, but that’s probably just the nature of needing an XS. The hip belt pockets bend around your side so I doubt a phone would fit comfortably there even if the pocket was larger, and bulkier fabric there would probably cause arm chafing. So I still like it best as is. The hip pockets have plenty of space for keys, chapstick, energy bar, map & compass etc!
