I bought this pad a year ago and have been waiting to write a review until I tested it out for many hiking trips . I’ve tried so many different sleeping pads , Nemo Tensor , several Big Agnes models , Sea to summit and exped . None of them worked for me and always seemed to leave me with a stiff lower back and I don’t have back issues . The waffled style baffles on this pad just seem to work for me even when side sleeping. I sleep great and do not wake up with any stiff pain . I donated all my other pads so they didn’t go to waste . I’m 6’2 185lbs slender muscular build and purchased the long Wide model . I highly recommend this pad especially for side sleepers .
I was able to use this wonder for one beautiful night. The one night I was able to use it, it was incredibly easy and quick to inflate and kept me comfy all night long even though our campsite was on nothing but small rocks. I wish I could’ve tested it out for the next night, however, our entire campsite was stolen while we went on a day hike to see an iconic waterfall. I’m sure this pad would’ve held up beautifully. It was compact, light, easy to inflate, and very comfy, for a 50+ woman who hasn’t slept on the ground in many, many years. Stupid thieves, how low can you get, stealing people‘s entire campsite while they’re on a hike out in the middle of nowhere. It was very packable and I was looking forward to using it on a mother/daughter backpacking adventure later this summer. Unfortunately, with sleeping bags, pads and tent all stolen, we will have to try that backpacking trip and this pad sometime in the future when we can afford to replace them.
So far so good. Great pad. Light weight and has a small footprint. Time will tell and mileage will vary. Hope to get a lot of use from it before considering a replacement.
