Small but useful
Very compact solution to a portable BBQ. The product is extremely compact when folded into the included storage case. It quickly unfolds and is ready to build a fire. The down sides I find are two, first it is very small. We found it was perfect for 2 hamburger patties but an ear of corn was more difficult. There are two larger sizes that are not carried at REI, no idea why. Second, you need to clean it before returning it to storage case or you will have a mess inside the case. If you aren’t bothered by the size and cleaning requirements this is a great way to have a tiny BBQ available in your car or at your campsite. Would buy again but might get a “medium” instead of this size.
Perfect for one person!
Super impressed with this wee grill! I was able to heat a liter of water in my stainless MSR pot hot enough to make coffee AND cook a burger at the same time. After meal prep, it made a cozy little fire pit! :) Easy to clean, set up, and store. Happy with this purchase!
I love this little grill
I love this little grill. I have the smallest one. A few charcoal briquettes match light type or a small can of lighter fluid and your good to go for 2 hamburger patties, 4 hot dogs or 2 or 3 vegetable skewers. . It is small enough to keep in the back of the car for any time use. It would be a little heavy for back backing but fine for a picknick lunch or maybe a day hike.
Described wrong size!!!!!!!!
This is a SMALL. It is 9-1/2 x 8 x 9". This will not be big enough to cook for me alone. Useless waste of money. Highly regret buying from REI. I could have bought the correct size at another retailer, this price was better, but IT IS NOT THE SAME MODEL.
Greatest small grill
I looooove this grill, I use it to cook for 2 people. We can make hamburgers and heat up our tacos on it. Caramelized onions anyone?! We on occasion also use it to heat our area when camping. Over all a must have, this small size and the larger ones but for 20 dollars this is a great buy.
Great for one eat as you grill
Perfect size and weight for one to two persons with patience. Best grill as you eat. For our first use, we did sausage, squash on grilling fork and finish with a small sweet potato buried in the remaining coal and ash. Clean up was easy, too.
Portable grill
It exceeds my expectations by far . And likely will became my regular grill. Much higher in quality than i had hoped for in that price range
