Columbia  AmazeRain 3L Rain Shell Jacket - Women's

Pros are the snap closures in addition to the zip which make it easy to throw on to take the dog out without having to fuss with the long zipper. Hood is large and stays on. The seams look well reinforced to be waterproof. Cons are that the sizing is way off. I had to return my usual XL and order a large and still the shoulders are pretty oversized and the sleeves are quite long. It fits like a mens jacket. (The upside is you could wear a fleece underneath without issue) Handwarmer pockets would have been a nice design addition, especially for the MSRP. But given that I grabbed it on sale, I can't complain.

I walk alot (6-10 miles a day) in the rainy PNW. I am picky about my rain jackets. This one is very nice. I like the fit, the length (over the fanny...important where it rains alot), and has snaps at the bottom sides to allow for a longer stride or use of steps. I would say that it runs a bit large though the fit is loose too.

[Employee of columbia] Holy cow, this jacket is so cute! I didn’t necessarily love the photos online, but I went into the store to get something else and ended up trying this on. The fabric is amazing, it feels exceptionally well-made, and it’s super cute on. I have a feeling this will be my go-to for the spring and summer.

I am 5' 7" 135 lbs and normally medium, but ended up with the small. The medium just felt oversized and baggy. The small was perfect. I haven't really worn it yet but I'm looking forward to taking it to Europe this June. REI was very accommodating in helping me with the exchange. They are great.

My husband bought the insulated waterproof jacket which felt nice. I returned mine to get one similar to his.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket lives up to every claim. Waterproof, breathable, adjustable fit, and a beautiful color. I've worn it only in the PNW this far but bought it for a 3 week trip in Scotland. It looks like it will easily pack down and is roomy enough for layering.
