We use this backpack absolutely ALL the time! It has become our go-to daypack for adventures in the mountains such as hiking, cross-country skiing, and even some overnight camps where we would combine it with a Resolve backpack. It has a lot of great functionalities, my favourite being the side water bottle pocket. Most packs out there will not fit any bigger bottles or they would even fall off as soon as you start moving around. This pack secures the bottle pretty well and you can fit a big nalgene without any issue! We have used it for > 100 hours of activities, and it is still brand new and always exciting to use!
I wanted to like this pack, but the waist band is too pathetic. The hip wings do not even make it out to my hip bones to support weight, and my torso is slender (6'2", 140 pounds). Also the 1" strap around the front is too narrow, and uncomfortable if you put any weight on the hip belt. Putting weight on the hips is important to me as it keeps the shoulder straps from putting a lot of pressure on my pacemaker. I have tried it out for a half hour with about an 8 pound load and the waistband was not comfortable. I gave the pack 2 stars because of the recycling ethic of the company. I am returning the pack.
I got this a couple weeks ago, and have taken it out on 3 trips. It fits so much stuff and with a 3L water bladder and about 15lbs of things in it still is super comfy. I’m thinking about getting rid of my other larger pack and picking up the 45L too.
