Unfortunately not what I expected. Bought this knife as an everyday on the ranch, handle material is very light and you can pinch the two pieces together when blade is deployed. Locking mechanism needs some work, 30% of the time it doesn’t lock open, just hangs until you push up on the bar. Same with closing. It’s not full of dirt or hay, out of the box. I purchased because of the d2 steel, blade is good, just poor design. I understand it’s only a $70 knife, but reminds me of the $25 kershaws we had as kids. I expected more out of a Boker, but nothing against REI, been a member since the late 90’s.
Boker makes quality knives the blade design is perfect, quality metal, fast action opening and closing, light weight, solid EDC and backing blade. The handle material is weak and flexible, not suitable for tougher task.
Blade is good, handle is very cheap and flimsy, locking mechanism needs a lot of work
