I was looking to lighten up my base weight, but I was kind of skeptical of how ultralight packs carry weight. The Exped has all the features of an ultralight pack but carries weight like a traditional pack. I like the simplicity of one main storage compartment and stretch pockets on the front for easy to get to items, the hip belt and shoulder straps are well padded and comfortable, and the way the frame connects to the hip belt allows the pack to pivot and move with you instead of a locked in feel. The only negative thing is all the straps have Velcro organizers on the end so you won’t have a bunch of tail after you tighten all the straps down, it just feels unneeded. I would highly recommend this pack to anyone, beginner or expert
