My new favorite everything pants! I have been living in this pants since I bought them. I use them for work, light outside work, and climbing. I have an athletic build with 28" waist and 38" hips - after reading other comments, I sized down to a S and it fits perfectly. The adjustable waist is so handy and the baggy fit through the legs is great. I am 5'8 and they hit right at my ankles. They are super durable and the green color is sick! The only downside I have found is that, after a ~3mi hike and some scrambling, the baggy fit led to some chafing on my inner thighs. I don't know that I would recommend these for long hikes.
I got these as a bouldering pant and fell in love. They're high waisted, cuff optional at the ankle, and have a more baggy fit. They are super flattering on me and are so comfortable to move in. The waist is high enough that it fits under a harness comfortably too.
I saw these on a mannequin at the store. They didn’t have any in stock - I like the feel of the fabric so i ordered a M and a L. I received them today - unfortunately both pair couldn’t get over my hips. I am not wide hipped or have big thighs so it was puzzling. For reference I am 5’6” size 12. I’m returning them and will find something else. They do not have a zipper fly front. Pull on with a little bit of elasticity in the waist. Not enough for me to get these on apparently
I bought my first pair last year and they've been my go-to for both indoor and outdoor bouldering ever since. I love the versatile design — the baggy fit provides freedom of movement but the ankle area can be cinched when needed, and the built-in belt keeps them super secure while climbing. The material strikes the perfect balance between softness, technical durability, and breathability. Plus, the loose fit makes it easy to layer leggings underneath for extra warmth in colder weather. They're also just really flattering and stylish. Bravo, Mountain Hardwear!
Sure, here's a refined version of your message: I bought these pants years ago, and they're still a favorite of mine. I wear them throughout the summer because they offer excellent sun and tick protection. The loose cotton fabric keeps me cool and comfortable, even in the heat. I hope you continue to make them, especially since our summers are getting hotter. I always receive compliments when I wear these pants, and the citron color is fantastic!
I bought these several months ago and went back and bought 2 more pairs. I love the fit, I did go down a size though because I didn't want then too baggy. The fabric is great for both warm and cooler temps and they wash nicely, no shrinkage that I noticed. I am hoping that MH keeps this style and adds more colors. The green is wonderful and I get a ton of complements on them. These are so comfortable, they really are the perfect pant.
These are seriously the best climbing pants I have ever owned. I have had these pants for about 2 years, and I own these pants in 5 different colors. I have worn the volcanic blue (please bring this color back!) multiple times a month, climbing in the Colorado alpine and hiking several miles. They are abrasion-resistant against rocks, which is hard to find among climbing pants made for women. They are also suitable for women with smaller waists and bigger thighs/hips like myself. The only complaint I have is that they are a bit short on myself since I have longer legs. A 29+ inch inseam option would be nice for women with slightly longer legs. This would allow for the pants to hit slightly above the ankles, but also allow for free movement while climbing. I would also love to see these pants come in more neutral colors like black, navy, dark green, grey, etc.
Big fan of these pants! They’re the right amount of baggy and the waist is large enough to easily pull up over hips but cinches down nicely to fit my waist. I’m 5’7” and about 150lbs and a medium fits perfect. The only thing is they’re a bit short in the leg for me, but not terribly so. Only wish they had more pockets and that the back pocket was deep enough to zip with a phone in it, it’s a bit too small.
Just got these so I haven't put them to work but I'm so glad I got them! I'm 5'4" on the curvy side and a M fits perfectly, they hit right below my ankles and the rise hits at the bellybutton. A smarter person than me will spend less time trying to get the belt buckle open. Overall good pant MH is my go-to because the fit consistently works for my body type!
Strong & smooth, top-quality material! Beautiful color (grey-beige, not yellowish or khaki) for work pants as well as outdoor activities! But the pants style is cut for round-type torso with non-curvy figure -- like the pretty model in picture with flat hips, straight figure. Large size scrapes painfully over med-large hips. Sadly must return.
