New Balance  Ellipse v1 Road-Running Shoes - Men's

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved the Ellipse product; I feel it's very comfortable both for running and for casual wear. I've used it both ways and I like how comfortable it is. Something else that's great is the design; I feel like it doesn't get dirty very easily.

Absolutely love how these shoes feel for me!! I’m 50 days into my running journey and coming from occasional cross training in the 2022 New Balance 1080’s for the first ~40ish days. I prioritize stability and comfort with moderate shoebox space. I don’t like a super cushiony shoe. Only ran in these twice so far on road/sidewalk running with mild/moderate hills (13 total miles), but these shoes disappear underneath me when I’m running and I have no indication that anything will change. The tongue of the shoe feels great. I almost decided not to buy the shoe, because when testing the shoe with thin socks the upper insides of the shoe where the black design line is located is a bit bunched up (when made) and the scrunched up part was noticeably rubbing against the top of my foot when jogging in the store. I use Quince wool ankle socks and have had zero feeling of the scrunched part of the shoe and zero irritation. For comparison another shoe store sold me Hoka Clifton Pro shoes which were a bad fit for me. The rocker on those shoes and the super cushiony feel did not give me stability when running or walking. Thank you New Balance for bringing the feel back of the older 1080’s. Not a paid review; I purchased mine at Fleet Feet in Blue Ash, OH

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great shoe for beginner / intermediate runners and even a great shoe for easy runs in more advanced runners. Really enjoyed the ride, similar to the 1080 V14 that I was missing after the transformation of the 1080 franchise. Little bit of a heavy upper that feels warm on sunny days. Great lockup in the heel, really comfortable for running and daily errands. A perfect shoe for an active lifestyle and easy running. Definitely not looking for performance in this shoe, but enjoyed having a shoe which its nature is just comfy and stylish.

For someone that only had ever tried the Rebel V5s and maybe had a 3.5/5 experience this was a risk. I seen them advertised online and while at Berlin Half and finally took the plunge. I then unfortunately got injured and they have been my greatest companion through recovery! I love them so much that I’m honestly debating buying a second pair (which I’ve only ever done with race shoes!). If you’re on the fence about these ones I highly recommend them!

As a heavier runner (116kg male) these are so smooth and supportive for the everyday run. So far I’ve used them on the daily 5km runs and also longer runs up to 12km They also look rad! The colour way, design and detailing on them is unreal. Just hope you keep making them in a 13.5UK size as I’ve got a busy year coming up. If you’re a heavier person wanting a solid daily shoe - this is for you

I typically wear them for training runs at easy to moderate paces. It’s a great shoe to add to your rotation for those easy to moderate days.
