So many nice features to love

I bought this 5 months ago to replace the trusty Nemo hornet I’d been using many years been…several 3-6 night trek. I wanted to wait until I had it out in rain to review it. Finally had 2 full nights of rain and a good windy day deluge in palisades creek. This tent has many really nice extras: 4 huge pockets, 2 vestibules, extended footprint in the large vestibule, zipper to access gear in the smaller vestibule, repair kit, 3-pt guidelines, self tightening pole grommets, taco style tent bag for easy storage (no more wishing for a bag that is 1” wider!) and my favorite… ability to see the stars at night from my pillow with the fly in star gazer mode. I really love the extended footprint that helps keep tent clean but I worried about how that would work in rain. It managed rain, wind and just general humid air in the palisades fabulous… no moisture on any of my down items despite 2 heavy nights of rain +1 afternoon of a good windy/rain storm. Stayed taught, dry and no water run off from the footprint under larger vestibule.

Perfect tent

This is as perfect a solo tent as you can get out of the box. At 6' 4", I use a long sleeping bag, and the tent is long enough and has at least 6" of room on the side of my 20" pad. Plenty of room for sitting up. Love the zipper that allows access to the little vestibule on the opposite side from the door (not shown in the pictures). I removed the little stuff sacks from the guylines because they seem a little silly. One very nice detail is that Exped includes a patch of Gear Aid tape and a couple of extra zipper pulls and plastic clips that go where the tent attaches to the crossbar pole, in case you need to make repairs. I've only slept in the tent one night, in the back yard, but it was fairly windy and the tent seemed sturdy.

Been using this tent for a couple months now and it continues to impress me. Plenty of interior space and it’s easy to sit up and move around. Quality is great. The large vestibule is especially useful.

Took this backpacking on the Trans-Catalina Trail and was quite pleased. Held up well in the wind. Plenty of room in the 1-person. Light weight, easy to set up, love all the different tabs to tie back for different air/visibilty. The best part is the large vestibule/pation when bought with the footprint.
