I'm a side sleeper who tosses and turns a lot. Mummy bags are not for me, but I wanted something for backpacking that would be compact/light while also being comfortable and warm. This sleeping bag fit the bill perfectly. It was spacious enough that I slept really well. My pillow fit inside with room for my arm underneath it. The flap on top kept heat in while still allowing me to breathe fresh air. I bought a 13L compression sack for it because, while the bag it comes with does compress some, it didn't come anywhere near fitting in my pack even when zipped to its smallest size. I am 5'2" and the short length worked for me, but for anyone much taller, I think the longer/taller version would be better because I didn't have a lot of room to spare, lengthwise.
Super warm and cozy sleeping bag. I LOVE how spacious it is inside. I sometimes end up sleeping with my arm above my head, and can fit my arm inside the sleeping bag so I stay warm. With that fold over flap, it makes it feel like being fully tucked into bed and under the blankets. The extra width in the knees is also great cos I often like to lay with my feet in a "figure 4" shape. I removed a star because the bag is still huge when packed up in the "compression" mode. Really cool engineering of the stuff bag how it zips down smaller... but I couldn't get it inside my backpack at its smallest mode. I made the terrible mistake of not checking it would fit until I got to the trail (I test packed with another 20 degree bag that fit no problem). I ended up needing to shove it in my backpack loose, and strap some gear on the outside, to make it work. I'm new to backpacking so I'm curious how this stuff size bag compares to others, but it feels pretty bulky. I think if you're wanting something ultra light this isn't it, but if you want to be super comfy, I'm obsessed with this bag! I do mostly car camping anyways so I'm excited to take it on all kinds of adventures.
This bag is very cozy, but I don't get overheated in it. The color is very peaceful and coastal. I am 5'2, and someone too much taller would not fit in this bag. I'd estimate that it will fit anyone 5'5 or under. It's a great value if you are petite.
I bought this recently for my wife and she loves it!! Recommended!!
