Arc'teryx  Cormac Crew Long-Sleeve Shirt - Men's

The new Cormac fabric definitely feels more comfortable and stretchy compared to the older version — I’ll give it that. But durability is where it falls apart, literally. I wear this for regular, casual use — nothing extreme. By the third wear, a hole had already formed on the inside of the cuff, caused by a pulled thread in the fabric. This is a low-contact area that barely touches anything during normal wear, so this kind of failure this early is hard to justify. For comparison, I own several older Cormac Hoodies, including one from 2019 that’s now 7 years old and still has zero issues after regular wear. The difference in durability between the old and new fabric is night and day. I contacted Arc’teryx about it, and they confirmed that rips/tears like this are not covered under their warranty, regardless of how quickly they occur. So if you’re thinking about buying this, just be aware: the fabric may feel nicer, but it doesn’t hold up, and you won’t have any recourse if it happens to you too.

The shirt is incredibly soft for being made of poly, I have gotten the chance to take it on my runs, playing pickleball and hiking. It breathes really well and dries off super quick. I was unfamiliar with the solotex fabric, but it really is a game changer for synthetics. The shirt is like a microwaffle texture and feels really nice, seems thin but has been durable so far (branches and thorns havent pulled any threads) I only wish there were thumb loops inside the shirt as this always helps to keep the sleeves down when putting on other layers.

This shirt is phenomenal! I wear it all year round in all kinds of weather, but most often as a sunshirt for yardwork, hiking and running. It manages heat well and the durability is excellent. I've my first one for 3 years and it still looks nice enough to go out in.

New version sizing is awful. Very baggy. Size M is two inches longer in the hem than previous version. Lots of loose material around the midsection. Also no longer UPF rated. What is the point of a sun shirt for hot weather if it is not UPF rated? The new material is quite soft, but looks very delicate and stretches out of shape easily. This is no longer a functional piece for me.

I owned the last version of this shirt. It saved me during long trail runs with prolonged sun exposure and kept me cool. This new version seems to perform similarly but leans more towards comfort than performance. Also worth noting — I weighed both shirts and the new one weighs ~10 grams more. In hindsight I wish bought more of the original when I had a chance.

As always these are quality products. However sizing on these vs the predecessor UV light long sleeved shirts was too significant. While the prior XXL fits nicely, these are far too big so my son gets them. I may replace them with XL in the future as I really liked the performance of my prior four for gym and outdoor exercise in warm climates.

Excellent shirt for technical and casual environments. Extremely lightweight and soft fabric with a waffle texture that looks slightly more casual than most technical shirts. It's cut on the looser side. Please release this shirt (and the SS Version) in more colors, including Black Sapphire and Neptune.

I love the improved neck opening and forearm taper, much better than the previous version which I returned. The bottom hem could be just slightly more relaxed, but this was a keeper. I'm a bit of a M/L with Arc'teryx but a M fit great. 5'11" 175lbs.

Comfortable thin layer for warm weather. Feels light but wears like it’s a heavy cut? Typical well though stitching and sizing by ArcTeryx, the design that optimizes the materials used. Well thought out gear continues to shine
