Must have for off-leash dogs
I've used this product with my Heeler from the start. He is soon to be 8y/o. I really wouldn't know what to do if I couldn't get another one of these. It is the #1 item I grab for my boy when we leave the house. Prior to Nite Ize this was owned by another company, I only wish I could still get one in Blaze Orange.
Great for off leash walking
Used this leash for the first time the other day, and love the idea behind this product. If you walk your dog off leash, you will love this product. No more having to worry about trying to leash your dog quickly when other people/animals pass. I do agree with a previous review. The wrist portion of the leash could be a little bigger, especially if you live somewhere cold and need gloves. Initially I thought the product might be too bulky, but it didn't bother my dog at all. All in all a good product that makes your dog walking experience a little easier
Excellent for off-leash adventuring
My dog and I have used this collar/leash system for several years as we adventure in the PNW. Much of our time is spent off-trail and in remote areas where she could run free. Nonetheless, I always wanted a leash handy and this did the job perfectly.
Outstanding Collar/Leash and Company
I bought my first collar/leash only a year ago when I got a 2nd pup. I love the product because I take my pups running on trails and it's so easy to just grab the leash. I've recommended to friends and strangers that I have seen on trails, they ask where I purchased the product. Customer service is outstanding and they stand behind their product. Best 'offleash' leash available
We have been using this for years. It's by far one of the best tools to have when we are out hiking (or kayaking!)- it gives you the flexibility of both off-leash and on-leash experiences. I hardly ever use the leash, but it gives me peace of mind knowing that I can leash her up if anything does happen out on the trails.

Awesome leash and collar combo!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love using these RadDog collar leash combos. They are especially handy at a dog park or on long walks where the dogs can be off leash, but you might need physical control for just a bit, like to and from your car. We avoid carrying additional leashes and having longer leashes getting tangled. What a great product!
Hands down my favorite piece of dog gear
I’m on my second one, they last around three years. Great for when you come up on cranky people with their cranky dogs. My pit goes along Mt biking thousands of miles a year sporting his RadDog collar.
Great trail dog gear
I love this collar/leash for trail running and hiking. It’s so much more convenient than leashing/leashing all the time. Just pull the lead out when you need it. And let it go when you done. The best!

My favorite dog accessory! Almost perfect!
This collar is awesome! It’s perfect for my border collie pup who trail runs with me off leash, but needs a little guidance when we pass other hikers. It is not bulky and seems to be reliable (we’ve been using it weekly for about 6 months now). I do have three suggestions: (1) The loop at the end of the leash is almost impossible to get your hand into when wearing mittens or thick gloves, it would be nice if it were made with a stiffer material that kept it slightly more ring shaped. (2) The leash is slightly short to be convenient. It would be nice if it were 12 inches longer. (3) You guys should make a full harness with a longer leash built in (8-10’) and some pockets for treats or poopy bags. I would buy that product!
