It's Carbon!
I haven't had to use this and hope I never actually need to. I like this probe better than my old one, it should be more ridged and therefore more accurate, it also is more compact, doesn't get cold to the touch and is less noisy than my old one.
Featherweight Gear
When carrying gear that (you hope) you’ll never use, but have to carry nonetheless, it’s gotta be light, and this probe you barely notice in your pack.

Solid probe, lightweight, easy to use, packs small. Used it recently while going over a practice avy recovery, works great.
