Heavyweight flannel (not a shirt)
It a great-looking shacket - love the plaid! - made from a heavier weight flannel. A bit stiff even after two launderings, and it does come out of the dryer wrinkled. I will be washing it a lot because I want it to get softer! I love Black Diamond because their women's shirts have a traditional feminine cut. Note there is no sizing issue with this garment! I am 5'4" and quite slim, and I got the XS. It is roomy in the shoulders but I'd have to go up a size to wear it over a sweater. It is meant to be outerwear, for sure. I tried to put my coat on over it, and the stiff fabric got all bunched up! .

I am SO glad I didn’t listen to the review stating this ran small — I ordered my usual size (medium) and it’s perfectly oversized. I’m 5’7”, 150lbs. I have long arms and usually struggle to find women’s shirts that are long enough and I’m happy to report these sleeves are perfect. The hemp color is lovely and the shirt has a nice weight to it. I love it and I just ordered a different color! Going to live in these this fall.
teeny tiny
the medium did not fit in length of sleeves or to my waist. Too small across my shoulders and lats. The weight of the material is nice and warm, but not made for full sized adults. I'm 5'8 and 120#, so not a large human. The mens medium fits great!
Cozy!
I love this soft and cozy flannel. I bought the medium (I'm normally a small in outerwear) and it's a little big but that is how I wanted it to fit. I can wear it over a baselayer. The mustard color is really lovely as well!

I love this shirt, its my go to for cool days in the mountains. Its so warm and cozy. The sizing is on point!
