Not durable enough to drive machines over it.
It’s supposed to be durable, but I found out that even “the most durable water jugs” have limits. They can’t in fact withstand being run over by a 50 ton machine. All jokes aside. I’ve had it for 4 years, dropping in off roofs and out of parked trucks with only scratches and tiny dents. After yesterday it only leaks around the main lid where the metal got bent around the threads. Upgraded to a 1gal jug after running it over with a John Deere grapple skidder.
Love the look, but premature paint chipping
Paint is chipping already. Owned it for two weeks. I do use it for work so it gets thrown around in my vehicles and boat. But didn’t think I’d have paint flaking this soon. All of my other yetis are doing fine. By far my favorite pattern/paint scheme even though it’s chipping.

Overall this jug is awesome. I love the color, and love the size. Originally planned on using it for long trips but I’ve found that I use it daily. 10/10
Great Product! Proably will last me a lifetime, then My Kids can have it! Keeps drinks ice cold and get alot of compliments at the gym!

I was really surprised to by this product’s lack of ice retention. Everyday I freeze about 70% of the total contents of the container overnight. Mind you, I work indoors, and by noon the ice is gone. Yeti is known for being so much better at this with their products. Quite frankly, that why we pay big money for superior performance. I don’t find this product to be as capable as other yeti products.

I Love this brand! The 1 gallon is a perfect size can take anywhere.
Magnetic cap gone
I bought this thinking about my son. He plays sports and drinks a gallon of water a day. We needed something to keep his water cold and was manageable to carry. This product has both excellent qualities.The only negative quality is the magnetic cap. In his second day of use my son had the cap stolen. My suggestion would be a type of tether to the cap to keep it more secured than just the magnet. At the moment there is no replacement as they are sold out and I can’t justify the price of another chug cap just made for the half gallon jug when we only own one.
