The "performance mummy cut" means that this thing has a super slim design. I'm 6', 200 lbs with an athletic build. This bag is so skinny, it's barely tolerable. It is warm enough, as rated, but you really need to be a slim guy to make this thing work for you. It is unusually lightweight for a synthetic bag of this temp rating. After spending one night in the bag, it becomes clear how they did it.
I was planning a serious Alaskan backcountry trip and realized my trusty sleeping bag was almost 20 years old. I bought the Lamina Eco AF 30F to shed some weight and experience a bag with that new-car loft again. I took the bag into the backcountry for a week: temperatures were 30F - 55F and I slept in a single-person double-wall tent. What's great? This bag packs down small. I was able to use a 50L pack for a seriously remote, full week in the wilderness. The bag is well constructed, with durable materials and GREAT zippers. I like simple gear, and this bag isn't laden with unnecessary, useless features. Less complexity = fewer failure modes. After a week in the backcountry, the pearly-white bag was a little dirty. It washed up nicely following MH's instructions. Pearly-white again, if that matters. What should you know? I'm not a big bloke - 5'9" and 163 pounds, very lean. This bag is not spacious across the shoulders. There was plenty of foot room, but my shoulders just about filled the bag. I'm an exothermic bloke, and tend to run hot. There were two evenings where I still had to don a long-sleeved shirt and watch cap to remain comfy in this bag. If you run cold, this is probably not a 30F bag for you. Overall I am stoked with this bag. It's size, construction, warmth range, and usability completely fill my needs for any sort of 3-season adventures.
