I'm always hesitant to submit a review on hiking/backpacking gear until I have used it for a while. I have now put my pair of Asolo Drifter EVO boots through their paces - probably 250 miles. In 10 words or less: I love them. They are great 3-season boots that provide the ankle support that I need when hiking in NH's White Mountains. I've used them in light snow, pouring rain, 90-degree weather. Obviously, once wet, they dry a bit slower than trail runners, but the trade offs are worth it if you are looking for more foot protection.
Awesome boot, well worth the cost. My flat and narrow feet are annoyingly picky but these are easy to lace up tight and they have the perfect amount of padding to hold the foot in place comfortably. The soles are tough and very rigid out of the box, but a few miles on them and they break in nicely. I replaced the insoles but the stock ones are adequate. Vasque is my usual go to brand but these are equal to if not better than any of their boots I’ve worn.
This is my fourth pair of Asolo boots. They are always comfortable and reliable. I tend to wear them all day long over a variety of terrain and they never fail me.
