I decided to buy this over the Stretchdown Jacket because it looks more like urban/city jacket than a hiking jacket. I am 1.8m tall, 63kg and usually wear UK 8-10 in tops, and I decided to size down to XS because this jacket has a roomier fit, and no regrets. I just wish it was a bit more cropped. The sleeves end at my wrist joint, which is good enough for me. I have not owned a jacket with a specified down fill before, so I didn’t know what to expect. The 650 down fill is not as warm as I would like, though this means it’s versatile enough to use with no/light base layer. The pockets are roomy and cosy. I got this in Smokey Quartz which is an interesting colour for an outer jacket but still understated. The main thing I would call out is the exterior material feels thin and flimsy and it stains very easily, which is disappointing coming from a reputable outdoor brand. Also, the inner collar area of the jacket has protruding seams, which can bother you when you are wearing a top with a lower neckline.
Warm and kind of retro! This down jacket reminds me of the first down jackets I wore as a kid in the 70’s and 80’s. I love the yellow color (my favorite)! I ordered a small and the fit is great on my frame. I’m 5’11” and 145 and the sleeves are long enough for me.
I bought this recently after trying on North Face and Patagonia jackets, and found that this jacket was better than any other jacket I tried. Mostly I noticed that the shell was extremely durable compared to other brands, and also a lot warmer! I can actually wear this hiking, camping, and gardening without worrying about holes. Super well made!
I recently bought this jacket and have used it everyday this winter so far- such a warm coat and had a bunch of compliments on it.
Very warm jacket, cozy, warm pockets for hands and extra pockets in back! It’s a nice length and covers the bum too!
Love the color! It’s definitely a puffy coat but it seems really warm and it looks cute…not marshmallowy.
This is my new favorite jacket! I am 5'2" 112 lbs and the XS fits perfect.
