Nice bottle

It's nice being able to have a water bottle that also acts as a filter. Instead of wasting bottles and using a separate filter this combines them which is nice. The straw is not hard at all to suck water from which is something I thought might be an issue. It's very lightweight and isn't very big would definitely recommend.

Good overall, quality control issue?

We bought two of these. One works great, the other is missing the rubber gasket around the lid. Leaked all over. Not really sure how this happens it's the first time they were used. We went to another country and ended up with %50 usability. Pretty disappointed. When all the parts are there is works great.

Disappointing

I recently purchased two bottles hoping to use them in lieu of plastic water bottles. The first bottle leaked continuously, and the second bottle's water flow is super slow. I followed the instructions prior to use, and attempted to troubleshoot after use, but still - super disappointing. Will be returning these to REI.

No boiled or bottled water in the jungle!

I felt safe drinking water from any source in Sierra Leone, and did not get any illnesses. It was great to be free of concerns about rationing my water when I was in the bush, and not have to boil water or use nasty- tasting purification tablets.

The Straw is Difficult to Suck Through

I'm sure it filters the water, but the straw is AWFULLY hard to suck through. Enough so, I had to return it.

It is not practical. Leaks with change in air pressure or water temperature.

Easy to use

Easy to prepare and use. Water draws pretty easily. The handle on the top is pretty oversized and a little awkward.
