My new favorite everything pants! I have been living in this pants since I bought them. I use them for work, light outside work, and climbing. I have an athletic build with 28" waist and 38" hips - after reading other comments, I sized down to a S and it fits perfectly. The adjustable waist is so handy and the baggy fit through the legs is great. I am 5'8 and they hit right at my ankles. They are super durable and the green color is sick! The only downside I have found is that, after a ~3mi hike and some scrambling, the baggy fit led to some chafing on my inner thighs. I don't know that I would recommend these for long hikes.
I got these as a bouldering pant and fell in love. They're high waisted, cuff optional at the ankle, and have a more baggy fit. They are super flattering on me and are so comfortable to move in. The waist is high enough that it fits under a harness comfortably too.
I bought my first pair last year and they've been my go-to for both indoor and outdoor bouldering ever since. I love the versatile design — the baggy fit provides freedom of movement but the ankle area can be cinched when needed, and the built-in belt keeps them super secure while climbing. The material strikes the perfect balance between softness, technical durability, and breathability. Plus, the loose fit makes it easy to layer leggings underneath for extra warmth in colder weather. They're also just really flattering and stylish. Bravo, Mountain Hardwear!
These are the best pants ever. Cute, comfortable, and functional. I call them my weekend pants and live in them from Friday to Sunday. I have only two complaints, which are that I wish they were slightly longer to protect my ankles from bugs and that I wish they had a deeper back pocket and two back pockets instead of one to make them more versatile. I was using them for a fencing project and found not enough pocket real estate for my tools. That said, they are my favorite pants and if the belt buckle breaks I will weep.
Sure, here's a refined version of your message: I bought these pants years ago, and they're still a favorite of mine. I wear them throughout the summer because they offer excellent sun and tick protection. The loose cotton fabric keeps me cool and comfortable, even in the heat. I hope you continue to make them, especially since our summers are getting hotter. I always receive compliments when I wear these pants, and the citron color is fantastic!
I bought these several months ago and went back and bought 2 more pairs. I love the fit, I did go down a size though because I didn't want then too baggy. The fabric is great for both warm and cooler temps and they wash nicely, no shrinkage that I noticed. I am hoping that MH keeps this style and adds more colors. The green is wonderful and I get a ton of complements on them. These are so comfortable, they really are the perfect pant.
Got these for sport climbing and bouldering because I love wearing boxy-cut, oversized clothes. Unfortunately, these are too big, even for someone who loves that style. Love the cut, style, stretch -- reminds me of Gramici pants. If Mountain Hardwear made these in a size xxs like they started doing with their other styles, I would buy this again. For reference, I am 5'2", 115 lbs, with athletic build.
Love them so far! I'm usually a size 8-10 (31 inch waist) in pants and got a large because I wanted them to be relaxed for climbing and they are perfectly oversized! I personally love how they sit, just above my hips, loose and comfy. A medium would have been true-to-size but I'm super happy with the large. They feel pretty breathable but I haven't taken them outside yet.
Just got these so I haven't put them to work but I'm so glad I got them! I'm 5'4" on the curvy side and a M fits perfectly, they hit right below my ankles and the rise hits at the bellybutton. A smarter person than me will spend less time trying to get the belt buckle open. Overall good pant MH is my go-to because the fit consistently works for my body type!
The best women’s climbing pant I’ve ever had, hands down. I’ve been climbing for 24 years and have basically been constantly searching / trying all types of pants in that time. The Rockrydge pant is relaxed and loose enough to not provide any restriction but it is still nicely barrel shaped — giving almost a karate pant vibe. The adjustable waist best helps the pants be high waisted when you want them to be. The light ankle drawstring with toggle gathers the ankle in to keep them from being too long if you’re short. I’m 5’9 / 145lbs and wear and M. But honestly, you could size up or down in these and they would be RAD. Every time I wear them to the gym or the boulders, I always have a fellow climber (female and male) ask me what pants I’m wearing and who makes them. Major props on these. Soft but durable cotton. Great colors. Relaxed style that goes beyond your climbing session. Five stars. These are my power climbing pants now.
