[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wasn’t expecting to love a headlamp this much! We took it to the beach so we could watch the whole sunset and walk back without getting snuck up on by the very confident crabs in our area. 😂 Probably one of the brightest lights I have in my kit now (and as a photographer I carry quite a few 😅) Love the red light for astro and not waking the neighbors. Also, no headlamp should ever be made without this tilting function. 10/10 would recommend (Also my girlfriend said it was the first headlamp she's ever felt cute wearing so there's that)
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the perfect light for my early morning desert hikes. Gotta get up early to beat the heat in the summer and this is a great companion. I like the red light when I’m at the trailhead making my final preparations. Once I’m on the trails the white let illuminates my way. My old headlamp was much bulkier. I really appreciate the small size and light weight of the Range 400. Easy to pack away when the sun lights up the trail.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this headlamp for a little over a month in preperation for the incoming aurora season. I was excited about having a light weight headlamp that would recharge with the same USBC cables I carry for all of my other gear and was extremely happy when I learned that the red light on the headlamp is dimmable just like the white light. Every other headlamp I've seen only allows you to select brightness on the white light which is not very useful to me when capturing the northern lights. Having the ability to adjust the brightness on the red light is key to preserving better night vision to see the faint aurora overhead!
Really enjoy how easy to use this headlamp is. It's by far the brightest headlamp I've ever owned which is great but my favorite feature is how sturdy the strap is! I took it on a night bike ride and tried it out while van camping and it never bounced around or slipped off. The rechargeable battery seems to last a long time too so it's going to be great for my upcoming backpacking trip!
I recently used this headlamp on a pre-dawn climb up the Middle Teton, and it was a game changer. The trail started in complete darkness, but the light was bright, comfortable, and never felt heavy on my head, even with hours of use. A quick top-off charge before the hike gave me more than enough power, which is a huge relief when you’re heading into the mountains early. We even hit patches of wet conditions, and the waterproof design held up perfectly. This headlamp gave me the confidence to focus on the climb instead of worrying about my gear — exactly what you want in the backcountry.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Range 400 for a few weeks now and it’s exactly what I was hoping for — lightweight, intuitive, and super practical for late night/early morning hikes and photography. The red light mode is a standout feature for me. I shoot a lot at night, and this is the first headlamp I’ve used that doesn’t blow out my vision while I’m setting up a tripod or checking camera settings. It preserves your night vision without washing everything out, which makes a huge difference. It’s also impressively simple to use. I didn’t need to read a manual — just held the button to unlock it and was good to go. Switching modes is quick and easy, even with gloves on. Another huge plus: it charges via USB-C. Since that’s the same cable I use for my iPhone and power bank, there’s one less thing to pack. That sounds small, but it really makes a difference when you’re trying to keep your gear minimal. I’ve used it on a few camping trips so far — around camp, setting up tents in the dark, early morning hikes — and it hasn’t bounced once. Super comfortable and feels secure even when moving around a lot. Bottom line: this headlamp just works. It’s simple, bright, lightweight, and thoughtfully designed. Can’t ask for more than that.
This headlamp has been a game-changer, whether I’m taking the dogs out at night or finding my way back to camp after a sunset at Pear Lake in RMNP. The fast charging feature is a lifesaver for those times I forget to top off the charge before heading out (guilty!). Adjusting the brightness is quick and intuitive, and I really appreciate the red light option...it keeps the bugs away and saves my friends from getting blinded. I was also impressed by how comfortable it is. The fit feels secure, and the lamp tilts easily to the angle you want with just one hand.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I brought this headlamp on a camping trip in Maine and it was perfect. It’s super comfortable, I wore it around camp all evening without even noticing it was on my head. The tilting feature was especially great since I could adjust the angle easily and avoid blinding my friends. I also loved using it to read early in the morning in the tent before everyone else was awake. It's also so light, I've been carrying it around in my bag all week and didn't even notice until today! I think it's going to be the perfect headlamp to keep on me for activities like mountain biking and splitboarding as the days are getting shorter!
I've had this headlamp for a little over a month and I am a big fan. There are plenty of amazing features, but there are two that really make this the headlamp for me: the fit and the fast-charging. This headlamp just fits snug, without pinching or wobbling around during an early trail run. Admittedly, I've even forgotten it was on my head while sitting around the campfire. Secondly, my previous headlamps ran off AAA batteries, something I never kept in stock. The recharging capability of this headlamp has already come in clutch once, but the next time I inevitably show up to the trailhead with a dead headlamp, I can simply plug it in and have enough power for a sunrise hike by the time I get the rest of my gear on. I REALLY do love this thing and it will be with me on all future adventures!
I purchased the HeadLamp Range 400 to take on my trip to the Dominican Republic, and I was seriously impressed. It’s so compact—it fit perfectly in my luggage without taking up any space. I used it for hiking in the tropical climate, and it worked flawlessly. What I love most is how fast it charges. Just 8 minutes of charging gave me about an hour of use, which is incredibly convenient when you're on the move. The headband is also super comfortable and didn’t irritate my skin at all, even after wearing it for long periods. I highly recommend this headlamp for anyone who loves camping, hiking, or travels frequently for outdoor adventures. It's reliable, lightweight, and thoughtfully designed.
