Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oiselle is the BEST women's athletic brand I received this top as a gift and use it ALL the time. I run, climb, hike, ski, and bike in it. It is really warm for my winter activities but still breathable. The fit is snug on me (I got a size S and am 5'1", 115 lbs) but very comfortable. It has never chafed or felt the least bit uncomfortable even during intense backcountry skiing. I highly recommend it for colder weather activities. Also, the sleeves have thumb holes so if you're a person who gets cold hands, it's another bonus.

When it says the fibers have been "treated" what exactly does that mean?  Treated with what?

Asked by: growgoodroots
We require all of our vendors to comply with all federal regulations but do not have specific chemical information, unfortunately. We encourage you to contact Oiselle.

By Women, For Women

Women are at the center of Seattle-based Oiselle, a start-up that designs running clothes “by women, for women.” According to founder and CEO Sally Bergensen, her team is focused not just on outfitting individuals, but on building a community. “We designed the brand to bring women together,” she says. Pronounced wa-zell, the brand takes its name from the French word for bird, an allusion to the swooping, weightless feeling of the runner’s high. It’s also an apt metaphor for Oiselle’s swift rise in the industry. The brand’s fresh style, ethos of empowerment, and its own elite women’s running team has elevated Oiselle’s presence, and the voice of women runners, in the sport.
