Horrible Shoes for Hiking
I am so disappointed in these shoes. I purchased them because I had heard a lot of good things about this brand. I wanted to take them to the American Southwest and use them on a couple of water trails. Unfortunately, the first time I wore them for 2 hours I got horrible blisters on my toes. The 3 straps constantly kept tightening on my big toe and I had to stop every 15 minutes to arrange them again. The company Chaco told me it was because I had high arches. So, if you have high arches, do not buy this shoe. Also, the bottoms are extremely heavy for a hiking shoe! Overall,, I would recommend going with shoes from a better company.
Color Dispute
I'm posting this photo to show what a drastic color difference there is between online photo and the actual shoe. I'm glad I did not purchase these in hopes to match them to a specific color because they're in no way green/teal. I still love them as the real colors are still beautiful but it is a tad frustrating to know they do not match the site accurately.
Blisters!
The design overall on this sandal is great, however for me the toe straps were entirely too tight, even with several adjustments. Whenever I would walk, the straps would tighten down on my poor hobbit toe, causing interruption in circulation and, when I had gotten them wet with kayaking, the most horrific super blisters that filleted open the skin. Thankfully, toes are healing, and I did try to tolerate the sandals one last time, hoping that it was simple break-in period, however they were equally as uncomfortable during this last stretch of kayaking/hiking. We cut the hiking portion short due to the discomfort. Super disappointing.
Love my Chacos!
I saw that these sandals were on sale and I had heard such good things about them from my friends so I though I should take the chance and buy them. I wear a size 12 so it has always been a struggle to find any comfortable sandals that I can wear all day long. I also heard that these shoes were harder to wear in so I was somewhat hesitant to get them. However, it maybe took me one day of walking around in the house with these Chacos before they fit like a glove! I love them! I have an outdoor summer class in the mountains this summer and I am beyond excited to test them out for some short day hiking. I highly recommend these!
Constant adjustments
I don't doubt that user error is a problem with these sandals, but should it be so difficult to put on a pair of sandals? When I can adjust all 3 straps correctly and fit my feet in each pair, the sandals are great for walking and hiking; they provide sturdy support on tricky surfaces, inclines, etc. BUT, adjusting the straps constantly, especially around the big toe (if, say, your feet are a little more swollen after a long afternoon of hiking) makes me give this product a low rating. 3 straps may be too much.
Love the triple strap
My daughter has been waiting to catch these on sale. She was thrilled to finally find them marked down. She couldn't wait until it was really sunny and wore them the next day to school. Lots of compliments. We love our Chacos. They have such great arch support and protection since the soles are so thick. It's wonderful that you can adjust the straps so much and they fit your perfectly, on any day, barefoot or with any thickness of sock. They last forever!
Chaco Love!
I am so glad my cousin introduced me to Chacos a few years ago! This is the first time I have bought the multi strand style and I love them just the same! They secure well and look even better! The only issue I had initially was when trying to adjust for the first time, I accidentally pulled on two of the three strands and it caused a bit of confusion to get them all even again. I learned that adjusting the strands while on my foot helped a lot and now I have them perfectly set!! I will definitely continue to recommend not only Chacos, but this particular style as well!

I bought them for my canyoneering trip in Utah, they are amazing, so comfortable during a hike, not slippery at all after getting wet. The only minus is adjusting them at the very beginning, it took me long time to get them adjusted so they could fit well and I could put them on easily. But when I finally did I fell in love
colorful sandal
I'm still not sure why this shoe is rated to be "so very comfortable", but I do not like flip flops and so am not use to a footbed like this one.. But, it is a very attractive shoe and I'm glad I bought it. Also glad I got one with the toe loops. I'll probably buy another one - different style. I have the blue shoe and it's very pretty. I like the adjustable strap although I don't think the toe loop adjusts. Overall, I am pleased.
Love these shoes
I am very happy with this purchase. I wear a 6.5 and purchased the 6 - they fit perfectly. After an easy adjustment to the straps I have found a very comfortable fit. I have gotten lots of complements.
