run large
I bought these in my normal size 8 and returned them because I could not get them comfortable and they didn’t feel secure to walk. I ended up trying them again since a size 7 was on sale from another source and they are pretty comfortable and secure. So size down for sure. The strap does make an edge and rub on the inner edge of my second toe, but I expect these will need a little breaking in like all Chacos and that the straps will soften and form to my feet.
Backpacking Chacos
I was hoping these would be lighter than my 25 year old Chacos. I wanted an updated pair to take backpacking. Unfortunately they weren’t any lighter, so I’m sticking with my original pair. Can’t say enough good things about Chacos though, had my original pair resoled through them a few years ago. 25 years and going strong!
