Amazing!
I am obsessed with these! I've had a pair of Chacos with the toe strap for a couple of years and I can never get them to be prefect. But these are so comfortable and versatile. I've gone hiking in the mountains and hanging out in the river. Love this style
Cute, But Ultimately Uncomfortable
These sandals were cute, and I enjoyed pairing them with outfits for the aesthetics. However, after about 4 months of wearing them, I continually got blisters on the sides of my feet. This was after FOUR months and well after the break in period. I tried adjusting the straps, changing foot position, etc. But nothing worked. In addition, the straps on the sides of the shoes are way too long and will drag along the floor for those with smaller feet. You can cut them, but I didn’t, as I hadn’t decided if I liked them yet. And I wouldn’t have been able to return them if I did. Eventually, I just stopped reaching for them. They’re a pain to put on, and just ultimately uncomfortable.
Go-to sandals—3rd pair is the charm!
This is the third pair if Chaco sandals I’ve bought from REI I didn’t really NEED them because the ones I have are perfectly fine. One pair is at least 10 years old and the other 4 or 5 years old But the tie dye pattern caught my eye and they were on sale! The bottom line is: they don’t wear out— I can wear them kayaking, I can drive in them, they fit well, I can wear them with a dress or shorts, and the best for me is that they have great arch support. When I had plantar fasciitis they were the only shoes I could wear I like the way they fasten—much better than Velcro. 5 stars for sure!
Versatile
These sandals are amazing. I tried to go with one of the Chaco sandals with the toe strap thinking that they would feel more secure for walking. I ended up returning those in favor of these. I walked all over the beach, town and trails with these on and they were amazing. Just remember to properly size them according to the guide for the straps included with your shoebox!!!
last longer than most
Very happy with my Chaco experience. My first pair lasted 10 years. I bought my most recent pairs five years ago and three years ago (bought another pair because they were on a great deal). I wear them daily, year round & hike in them. I think the vibram soles of my first pair were the best, but my newer pairs are still lasting a long time, especially compared to most shoes. If you’re worried about color choice, look at men’s, women’s & children’s shoes (I wear a women’s 7 or 8 and can wear kids too). Also search for the brand specifically or browse sandals, the three options here are not the only colors or style available.
We'll See on this replacement
I love my chacos and the pair I owned before this pair were cute and strong but broke after only 2 or so years of use. the bottom of the sole started to crack and I could see the inside eventually it got worse and I can bend one of the shoes 90 degrees. they are a great shoe and have everything this hardcore outdoors girl needs but I wish they lasted longer
Chaco Love
Dear Chaco, I want to profess my eternal love and devotion to you. Please don’t ever give in to the pressure to change your style, color, design to “keep up with the times” like so many shoes do. You are a Classic, tried and true. You are perfect just the way you are. I love you!
Comfortable, but an Adjustment
Bought two pairs of Chacos, these and the three strap (with toe loop). These are definitely more comfortable for getting out of your boots at the end of the day. The three-strap is a bit hard to adjust but these are perfect! I do have a very low arch, so these definitely stretch the limit on my low arch. But I found that even hiking long distances, my back feels better and the only symptom of my foot adjusting is some cramping in my calf. Overall, worth the money! And I love my Prism Mint pattern.
These Do NOT Last
This is my second pair of Z1 Chaco sandals. My first pair lasted almost 10 years before they fell apart. I’ve had this pair for 2 years and haven’t even worn them much and the bottoms are cracking apart. Absolutely disappointed.
Classic Chacos that are the best!
These are my favorite style of women’s Chacos for me, due to multiple foot problems & past surgeries. I have plantar fasciitis as well as plantar fibromatosis & these sandals are the only ones I’m comfortable wearing. The color (my 2nd pair, after the tie dyed) are baby blue with pink, which match a lot of my summer clothes. The size 8’s fit my usual 8.5-9 size foot. They hold up almost forever- plus I have so many different colors now, they’ll last me the rest of my life! I always but the Classics in a color I don’t have if & when they go on sale. I’ve even worn Classic Chacos to hike & climb 14-ers in Colorado!
