Features

  • Hitch installs easily on the rear skewer, then stays attached so the Burley trailer can be connected at any time
  • This will fit most bikes out of the box, but certain setups may require an adapter; 12mm thru axles will require the Burley Thru Axle adapter (sold separately)
  • If you have an unusual setup, including hooded/tight rear dropouts, you may require a Burley Hitch adapter (sold separately)
  • Fits QR axles and solid axles up to 12mm
  • Works with bikes with disc brakes and full suspension
  • Does not fit breezer style dropouts
  • If you'd like to swap your Burley trailer from bike to bike, pick up spare hitches and install them on each bike so the hitch doesn't need to be un-installed between rides

Best hitch in the West!

We purchased this hitch as an additional hitch for our Burley trailer. It works perfectly and keeps us from needing to remove our hitch from one bike to install it on another.

You Need Two Other Parts

This product hasn't been used yet, because the product description is inadequate. If you're interested in using this with a 12x142mm axle, according to Burley's website you'll need to purchase the Burley Through Axle ($50) and a Burley Flex connector ($20). Instead of a $25 dollar purchase it's really close to $100- it's a big difference and information that should be in the product description. It's also worth noting that REI does not sell either part.

Hitch works as described

The hitch works as promised. I attach the Burley Flatbed trailer to my 1970 Honda CT90 motorcycle. Works like a charm.

The double trailer is well-made

The double trailer is well-made and sturdy. It easily attaches and detaches from the bicycle, and fits 2 toddlers and their stuff well. The plastic rain covers are easy to use, and very effective. The wheels are easy to take on and off, and it folds down small enough to fit in the trunk space of my Prius. The biggest drawback for the double trailer is that the cargo area is difficult to access because the bar the recline feature attaches to cuts the rear access in half. All cargo larger than a purse (including backpacks) has to go through the front, so the seats have to be detached and reattached for loading and unloading.

Great wagon!

My dog loves the tail wagon! It is easy to pull, and very stable even though my dog stands up the whole time. He is about 35 pounds and it is very roomy for him. He is starting to pester me in the mornings to go for a ride. It is also very easy to switch from one bike to another, because we also purchased an extra hitch. I recommend watching the set up videos for the initial assembly because the instructions were not very easy to follow. But with the video it went smoothly. Highly recommend this product.

Great accessoire

I use it on my racing bike and city bike click and go. Disapointment is that local bike stores do not have this item in there storage and must order it. But it is great and fits on every bike. Regards and thanks for your good products from Holland. I use my Burley now as a storage car for bike camping.
