Sunday Afternoons  Play Hat - Toddlers'/Kids'

I purchased the small size of this hat online for my 11 month old son and the small size does not have the vents in the picture. Within 15 minutes of using the hat, his head was quite warm. When I returned the hat to the store, I noticed only the medium and large version of the hat has the vents. All the small hats in the various colors do not have the vents. This should be noted on the website description since the vents are an important feature in a kids sun hat.

This is the 2nd Sunday Afternoon hat I have purchased, both my children now have one for beach/pool days. I purchase this specifically for: full face sun protection neck protection adjustable sizing water/sand beach sun glare protection This is the only hat I've needed, it stays on when wet and on windy days. Both my ACTIVE boys (age 1&3) will wear it and keep it on and I often get other parents asking me the product name when they see how well the hat functions while my boys are wearing it.

Bought one for my oldest and worked so well, bought this one for the baby. While maybe not the coolest looking hat, it is super functional. Love that it is adjustable to head size and the under chin buckle. It fits just right, making it really difficult to take off. Less back tracking on the trail to find the lost hat. Adjustable head size means I get a couple of years of use out of it. would buy again

Bought this hat specifically for a 17 mile kayak trip around the Napali Coast of Kauai, Hawaii. The hat gave me great protection from the sun with it's wide brim and most importantly stayed, for the most part, secured on my head in the high winds,and capsizing that happened while we were on the water. The only thing that was bothersome was that each time I cinched the string really tight up to under my chin, the release tab would sometimes pop open reading the hat completely. Not sure if this is supposed to happen or if my hat has a defect.

The brim is deep enough to keep the sun out of their eyes, but doesn't block their view. The back protects their neck no matter what position their head is in. And bonus... 2 year old grandson actually likes it and keeps it on!

The hat runs a tad small, I would get the size up if you don't have a chance to try it on before purchasing. Quality is great.

Purchased this for my 4 year old. It worked great while we were at the beach. covers my child's head and neck perfectly.

Very happy with this hat. It is light weight, easy to pack, and good shade under the sun. It has a flap in the back that covers your neck from the sun. Liked that it had a string to keep it in place in windy places and could also hang it around my neck when not in use.

Broke after 4 days of use! There is a flimsy plastic piece on the back of the hat to tighten it. After only 4 days (!!) of my daughter wearing the hat, the plastic piece broke. Wow, the cheap sun hats I bought on Amazon lasted YEARS (they never broke, my daughters just outgrew them). I’m really disappointed. I would expect much more from a $30 hat!
