Marmot  Limelight 3P Tent with Footprint

This has been one of the best tents that I have purchased to date. I love camping and try to do that whenever I can. I bought this tent in June of 2016 and have already spent nearly 100 nights in it, including 10 weeks in fall at 9k feet in Wyoming. I don't know how much more I can put this tent through! High winds, high temps (85F), low temps (15F), heavy rain, heavy snow, this tent can handle it all! The rain fly has worked flawlessly through very heavy rain and the tent holds up just fine in a snow storm. I would say the ventilation is quite good even with the fly on. There are plenty of guy-line attachment points and once all are secured the tent is very solid. For the summer time the rain fly is easy to fold back half ways for star gazing and great ventilation. The vestibule (both sides!) is great for keeping your shoes/wet clothes/backpack out of the tent yet still protected. The footprint is perfectly sized and works very well. The two doors are great, I personally use the large door the most. The interior is very spacious, especially as a one person tent. If you are looking for a tent for just yourself (and not backpacking) I highly recommend this 3 person tent. Especially if you plan to spend many consecutive nights in it, the extra space is so worth it. It is very easy to set up, you can easily do it in 5 minutes even in the dark. It's been 10 years since I got a new tent. I finally upgraded my tent to the 3-person Marmot Limelight. Wow tent technology as made a major jump forward in the last decade :) I tested this tent as a Ranger for The Dyrt at Bear Springs Group Campgrounds in Mt. Hood National forest. Arrived late Friday night. It was cold out and dark. Thankfully, I was able to set-up this tent up in a couple minutes on my first try. Super easy. Top two things I liked about the Limelight tent: 1. What is normally a few separate poles - is just one pre-connected unit with this tent making set-up easy. 2. The entire inner ceiling is a net. Really opens it up and can't wait to hit a clear camping star filled night.

I bought this tent for an 80 day camping trip across North America with 3 of my closest friends. Today (6/30), day 8 of the trip, was the first time that it rained. It started in the middle of the night when I had already gone to sleep. I woke up to the floor of the tent just completely drenched. I'm talking a literal miniature river of water was running underneath my air mattress. You would have thought that someone threw several cups of water in there while I was sleeping. I then look up and see droplets of water on the mesh housing from the rainfly leaking. Note that this was easily less than 6 hours of rain for pretty much the entire tent to be wetted out. I own a lot of Marmot products, seriously look at my wardrobe and this is the first time I have ever been fully and completely disappointed and downright upset about the quality and performance of a Marmot product. I don't even know what I'm going to do for the rest of my trip.

Fits a low height Twin Size cot and mattress, small lamp table and fan, with plenty of room to sit up and move about. The two doors are great for ventilation and overall the tent is built to last.

On a 2 month long road trip and in need of a new tent, after mine old one conveniently got a rip in it, I picked this one up and was glad I did. Purchased in August 2016, I spent many nights enjoying this tent and plan to have many more. The ease of setup and take down is one of the many highlights. Lots of space inside and very comfortable for sleeping. I'm 6'4" and felt like I had plenty of room. I'm also a pretty big guy, so I could see having another person in here, but 3 people seems like it'd be a tight fit. Camped in this tent in both low and high temps, rain, and in hot humid conditions and no issues whatsoever. Nicest tent I've ever owned and I highly recommend.

Bought this last month and right away went hiking and camping. First in HOH Rainforest in Washington and then Hiked and camped Eagle Creek Trail in Oregon .. Rained all night in Oregon and it was dry in the tent .. Some condensation on the inside of the Rain Fly but nothing to write home about

I used this at a music festival, and one afternoon it rained for about an hour and a half off and on, sometimes heavy. The inside of the tent was completely dry, including where my sleeping bag was shoved up against one wall. The ground underneath the vestibule areas were totally dry as well. Correct placement and set-up is critical for rain performance. As with all tents, reasonable care must be exercised when setting it up and packing it away. Several people commented on what a great looking tent I had. The "coding" of the ground loops makes it easy to find the front of the tent, and setup is a snap. I love the curved poles to make the bottom of the tent walls straighter. My only wish is that they had a few more loops on the inside of the tent, and maybe two storage pockets instead of one, but those points are very minor.

This was a last-minute purchase for a car camping weekend, and it was nice that the footprint came with it (rather than it being one of those little, hidden, additional costs). The mesh roof was great for sleeping under the stars and for camping at the end of summer with the ventilation. The setup is simple, albeit a little tricky the first time with only one set of hands (the two main poles are attached at the top, so maneuvering the X while getting in the pegs in at the bottom is careful work). It's lighter than it's size would suggest. Also, the way that the poles extend straight up initially really maximizes the usable/comfortable space inside.
