Very effective. I sized down.
This product is really helpful. I bought it for skiing at east coast resorts, known to be icy and slippery. A few years ago I fractured my tailbone on a ski trip and have struggled to overcome the fear of another injury like that. Getting these shorts gave me the push I needed to feel comfortable sending it again. I have used them on about 3 trips so far - a few hard falls and no pain in any areas of impact with these shorts. I usually wear a size 4-6 pant. Initially bought the medium in these but felt they were too loose, so I bought the small. I wear these over a pair of skin-tight base layers, covered by a shell. Or if I am wearing a looser base layer, I'll wear this underneath next to skin. Comfortable enough that I don't even notice this is on, and it doesn't change my figure very much from the outside. What more could you ask for!
Total protection, light slim fitting
Happy to find this pant for protecting not just hips and tail bone, but also the sit bone (pelvic rami). Works for snowboarding, figure skating, skiing. So far very pleased with these, doesn't hurt when falling... Very slim fitting so looks good too.
Saved my butt
First day wearing these and I managed to catch an edge and windup slamming on my backside. I’m happy to report that I have no pain in my bottom whatsoever. The fall still hurt, but I have no bruising or long lasting pain. I was able to get up and keep riding for the rest of the day. I had a very similar fall a few weeks ago and had pain for several days. Worth the money, ESPECIALLY for an icy day.
No complaints
No complaints. I find them to be about as comfortable as they can be and I've eaten it a couple times in them with no bruises to speak of : )
