Not enough protection

The foam does not reach down far enough to protect the most vulnerable area which is the coccyx. How often do you hit a hip? Almost never. But the end of the tailbone is getting smashed constantly as a new rider and these do not help.

These have saved my "you know what"...literally!

Great hip padding, and decent low back/ SI padding. I feel there could be extra in the SI and tailbone area, but I guess that could be a personal preference. I'm 30 years old and learning to snowboard and these have saved me. Don't get me wrong, falling still hurts, but I'm hurting a lot less than my buddy who doesn't have impact shorts. These run true to size, maybe a bit on the roomy size. I wear them over a pair of leggings but under my snowpants. Not too bulky which is nice, but again I feel like they could use a little more padding on the butt.
