Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent mitts My son would always get cold hands while snowboarding. These mitts kept him warm in the teens in Utah over Christmas and there were no complaints about cold hands. What a relief for all. They are well made and have nice features and good length to cover the wrist and cinch over a jacket. The Gortex seems to keep the hands dry too. The only criticism would be that the mitts are not articulated. They are designed flat and without the natural curvature of your hand. Overall, these are effective mitts and an excellent value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seal hands! Having just moved from the sub-tropics to Montana in the Fall, I was struggling with keeping my unaclimated fingers warm on the frosty bikerides to work, or just out and about. I had tried a few options before I came to these and I am so pleased I paid the extra to get a good mitten/liner combo. The wrist closure allowed me to get them big enough to wear my wrist guards for snowboarding between the liners and outer gloves, without them gaping the rest of the time. The rubbery hand pad is soft, but stood up to rope tows and carrying a snowboard no problems. I have never worn mittens before, so they took a little getting used to, but if you really feel the cold in your hands, as I do, these are worth a little fumbling or popping your hand out of the mitten in the liner, if you need to. Very happy so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Gloves! I bought these on sale in-store for 35% off just before Christmas. They are fabulous. They have all the features you'd expect from a higher-end glove/mitten but at a very nice price point. I went with these ones over other pairs in the same range because these were Gore-Tex, which there may be varying opinions on but I've always been happy with the waterproofing and insulating factors it provides. These have a drawstring which can be operated with one hand (and teeth) on the upper portion of the shell which you can see in the picture. The tab and strap on the outside of the glove around the wrist is also large enough to be able to operate with your other hand fully gloved. I am having a hard time releasing (loosening) that strap with a fully gloved hand, however I'd rather that be the case than it is constantly coming loose while I'm wearing it. The inserts are great; they are very lightweight gloves with grip basically all over the palm and down each digit, including the thumb. The tip of the index finger and thumb allow you to use smart phones. Although they won't keep your hands warm for long in extreme temperatures, they are lightweight enough so that I can keep them on if I just want to check my phone for some reason (elevation, map, guide, text, etc). Some other inserts I've used were just too clunky to really let me use a touchscreen with any accuracy so I ended up taking them off anyway which defeated the purpose for that use case. The grip on the inserts also helps the shell conform to your hand rather than just the inserts moving and the shell not (hopefully that makes sense) when you're trying to pick something up etc with both on at the same time. The shells are completely waterproof. I tested them before taking them out; I was a little worried about the zipper for the handwarmer but after completely submerging for a couple minutes each everything on the inside was still dry. They each have a zippered pouch on the backside of your hand to hold a handwarmer, and it's plenty large enough where it's not a chore to get one in and out of there. Although I will say the gloves are so warm I've yet to have to use one (I did put one in though just to see how they fit). The right shell has a soft surface all the way down the thumb for wiping foggy goggles, and the left shell has a rigid scraper to help clean ice off without having to get out additional equipment. It's a little clunky of course, but still way more convenient than having to take off your mittens to look for a scraper in your pack. The shells also have a soft inner layer so that if you're just wearing them without the inserts they're very comfortable. I've worn the inserts and gloves in -10 F (about 10 F plus wind chill) and never even gave my hands a second thought. Of course, you do have to be careful not to get the inserts too wet or snowy before wearing them in the shell as the Goretex works to keep moisture in as well as out :) The inserts and shells don't 'lock' together in any way; there's no velcro or anything which I appreciate as in my experience it just ends up scratching up my wrist, collecting loose snow or fastening itself everywhere but where it should. The inserts stay comfortably on my hands when they're in the shells without any anchor necessary. My only complaint is the length of the tether loop; it's sooooo long! But I would very much rather have it be too long than not long enough, and it's of course very easy to tuck the excess into the glove where it stays put most of the time. I do find that it sometimes is annoying, but to be fair I'm probably projecting my annoyance at having to stop and take off my warm gloves to begin with :) If you're looking for a versatile, warm mitten for all but very extreme circumstances this is a solid purchase. I will definitely buy these a second time if they are still on the market when I wear out the ones I already have.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from the Love Glove. I picked up this glove in a rush. Trying to find a mitten since they are warmer and more comfortable. This glove was amazing on and while grabbing ski poles. It comes with an extra glove as well. Using them separately was convenient, and in the conditions that I was in together was not needed. The glove has a few features that were cool like the easy to pull draw string at the base of the glove that kept my wrists warm and away from the elements. The wrist strap was convenient as well keeping the glove snug and on me. The Rubber that is for wiping your goggles was cool but I didn't get the chance to put it to use since I was not out while it was snowing or windy. The thumb has a soft and repellant material that was made to wipe your face/nose. It's a great glove and better than the Burton pair that is comparable. I lost this pair and I was in a pinch and purchased the Burton's and I wish I had these back.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Men's Titan Insulated Mittens Purchased by my wife in Sandy, Utah store as a Christmas gift and shipped to me at our daughter's house in Kennewick, WA. Upon opening noticed the seam in palm of the right hand glove insert was not properly sewn - my wife will try to repair on sewing machine. I used the gloves while shoveling snow in 20 degree temperature and they did not keep my fingers warm beyond an hour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not for super cold weather I bought these as they were recommeded for my upcoming trip to Antarctica. I finally had the opportunity to wear them in 22 degree weather, using a snow blower, with the inner liners and after 45 minutes my hands started to become uncomfortably cold. Probably good for most conditions people would encounter but not for what I need them for.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice glove for the price. I just bought these and have used them once. So far they are very comfortable and appear to be well constructed. These do not have the internal finger pockets. They are not build with a hand curvature so they wrinkle up in your hand when you make a fist. I can see that being a problem over time cracking the palms where it creases.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Recommended We had a mild winter so they didn't get out to the test but these are really warm mittens. The thin touch screen gloves that come with them are an excellent bonus. I lost one of my previous pair and bought the same mittens again, which pretty much says how much I like them.
