Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm, lightweight winter hiking boots I have last year's model of these boots, but I assume that they are essentially the same. They are really lightweight, and I find them perfectly suited to winter hiking, even in single digit temperatures. Very solid, work easily with yak trax and are compatible with snow shoes. I've never had any problem with moisture entering the boot, though I haven't used them in wet, slushy conditions--I've mostly used them in very cold conditions. Note, if you're walking through deep-ish snow, you're going to need some gaiters to keep snow out, as these boots aren't very tall. Overall, if you're looking for a winter boot that is comfortable, lightweight, and suitable for hiking, this may be the boot for you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from warm and comfortable I work outdoors and found these to be the warmest and most comfortable workboots I have had. They also have good traction. I am stable on wet slopes and in trees. In fact I love them so much I bought a second pair, for fear they will no longer be available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boot!! This boot is perfect. I have wide feet which is usually a problem but not with this boot. Plenty of room which provides great comfort and allows me to double up on socks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great fit !! I just purchased these and have not worn them outside yet but did walk a couple of miles with them on my treadmill. I love the fit--good arch support and a wide toebox. I wear a size 10 women's shoe but in boots always an 11 since I wear very thick socks. Even with the socks I was able to go down a half size to a 10-1/2 with plenty of room. These shoes will be great for winter hiking as well as for show shoeing and do not feel heavy or cut into my ankles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most comfortable boot I've ever owned I just returned from a trip to Everest Base Camp wearing my KEEN Women's Revel III Winter Boot and I didn't have a single foot issue for the entire 14 day excursion, and it was brutal! I highly recommend these boots for comfort reasons alone. I wore them for about 2 hikes per week 4 months before my trek and they worked just great. I have nothing but good to say about these boots. I tried other brand boots before these but returned them. As soon as I put my foot in these I knew they were the right ones. I'm sold on the KEEN brand!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfort out of the box These beauties were stylish, comfortable and oh-so-functional right out of the box! They have been my go-to boots all winter long for hikes, snowshoeing and even running around town!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sadly they didn't work for me I have had several Keen shoes and love that they accommodate my wide feet, high arches and bunions. All seemed well in the store but after wearing them for 3 hours the area just above the inner ankle was hurting on both legs. I think it's because of the very stiff tongue. If not for that they'd have been a winner. I'm looking for a boot that I can walk a mile or two every day in winter. These are just too stiff for that. I had on thick wool socks and feet were toasty warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfy Another Keen product that is made well. They are still very new, but they had no break in time at all for me and seem like they will last a long time.

Questions & Answers

Are these boots easy to lace up? And do they stay laced securely? Seems as though some women's boots go for "pretty" instead of, making them not so great.

Asked by: JoniR
The new version has the laces farther apart than the old version, so "cinching" via tighter laces isn't an option.  If your foot fits the boot you will be fine.  If you need to snug the boot, I dont think that works well - I returned them, and hope they return to prior versions (3 years earlier).  Truer to size though..normally 7, and the 7.5 fit the best..just too roomy in toe box and couldn't snug.

Hello how are these boots Inot wet rainy and muddy conditions and how are they during summer months

Asked by: Everett 1
These boots are waterproof and have excellent traction, so they are a good choice for rainy or muddy conditions. However, since they are a winter boot they are pretty well insulated, so they will most likely be too warm for the summer.

Is the sizing true to other keen’s?  I know the Durand’s run 1/2 size smaller.  What about the Revel 3?

Asked by: Mary
Most find they need to size a ½ size up in this boot.
