The Beta AR is a very solid waterproof shell. I really like all the features it comes with, and it performs well across a range of conditions. It’s versatile, dependable, and clearly built to last. I had read reviews mentioning how crunchy and loud the fabric is, and didn’t think it would bother me, but honestly, it was the first thing I noticed when I tried it on! That said, I don’t mind it at all, I’d much rather have a jacket that’s noisy but keeps me dry and holds up over time than something quiet that compromises on durability. I was unsure about the look of the DropHood at first (still not totally sold on the aesthetic), but I’ve come to really appreciate how it functions. When layering multiple hoods, it’s noticeably less bulky around the neck and offers way better visibility when the hood is up. Overall, a great shell with thoughtful design and reliable performance, even if it’s a bit loud.
Excellent in keeping me dry in deluge downpour! Would recommend. I have a small size and seams to be slightly large.
Absolutely amazing and durable for anything adventurous. Love it for hikes and snowboarding.
Please bring back the storm hood!! And all the pockets/features of the Beta SV!
