BEST Sweater Vest

Patagonia is being overly modest - this really should be called the Best Sweater Vest. I am in love with mine. I got it to supplement an old fleece vest, using the excuse that "if I had two vests I could swap them out", but I haven't pulled out the other vest all season. I just love this one too much. It's like a warm hug. I also get a ton of compliments on it. I love mine so much that I'm going to get one for my mom for her birthday. Mine has been through several washings already (since I wear it pretty much every day), and it's pilled a bit but really looks no worse for the wear. I am 5'5, 110 lbs and the XS fits perfectly -- snug and flattering but not uncomfortable or tight. I've been able to layer it over bulky sweaters without any problem. I hope Patagonia continues to make these for years to come!

Cheap, poorly wearing fabric on outside

Very nice vest, good appearance, warm, but--- the fabric on the outside of it, which looks like knitted wool but is instead synthetic polyester, pills after wearing and looks terrible. Also, I can find washing (or dry cleaning) instructions, but they're all very small symbols which I have no idea how to read. There are no written use and care instructions so I don't know whether to wash it or have it dry cleaned.

Stylish and warm addition to cold weather wardrobe

Bought this to wear during moderate cold weather. Originally ordered a small, as my build is 5' 5" and weight of approx. 128 lb. Exchanged in store for a medium as I prefer a looser fit. The small was too snug and I was afraid that layering over anything too thick would make wearing uncomfortable. I don't regret purchasing as the quality is top notch and lasting. Patagonia is my go-to brand for outerwear.

Inside Pockets for your phone!! Love it!

I love the fit and design of this and I'm ordering a second color. I've had my black one now for years, and I only like it more and more. I very much like the inside pockets and am glad the video shows them! For me inside pockets are a necessity - with them my phone stays warm enough in winter to work at the coldest New England temperature no matter how long the hike. I will wear this as an underlayer as well as as the top layer in spring and fall. I think the product description should include it as I won't buy midlayer vests or jackets without them. The fit is close enough to layer and be attractive as casual wear. I normally wear a size 6, am about 5'7", 36" chest, and the small has been great, not tight, layers over lightweight fleece pullovers and under jackets. If you like a more loose fit and are close to me in size, order up to M.

Flattering and versatile vest

Good quality, thick and warm material without being bulky. Flatters the figure when zipped. Works over most long-sleeved shirts and is great for layering in winter. For reference I'm 5'6.5" / 130lbs /35" chest and a small is perfect.

Great quality

A little pricey, but I expect it to last a long time because it is well made. Very warm and fits well. Good results from the washing machine.

Size - Runs a bit Big

The quality is great and it's very comfortable. However, I got a medium, what I typically wear in this brand, but it seems a bit too big. Should have bought a small.

Thumbs up

Very nice, warm. Looks great with flannel shirts, long sleeve T shirts and I plan to wear it with turtle necks when it gets a bit colder. Slimming also.

From Hiking Mt. Baldy to Walking to Local Trails

This vest is a great transitional piece for any woman that enjoys outdoors, but wants to look adorable doing it. I wore this over a right black long sleeve walking the trails of Southern California with a friend, but I've also worn it to work with a black, loose, rolled-sleeve button up and boots. It is a great shape considering it was cold outside, I zipped it all the way up, and didn't feel like it made me look overly wide like most vests do. I am 5'8, 140 with an athletic build, but a super short torso.

This is a nice [but pricey] vest.

I bought this on sale. The fit was good; I liked the fabric, the pockets and the quality. However, I thought the vest was not a good value for the extra money.
