Just right for all around performance

These pants are excellent for long periods of use. They fit close to the body. I bought the 32/32 size for a 6ft 180lbs, athletic, medium-large frame with proportionate size thighs and legs. The fit is close to the body, but it isn't tight by any means. The design moves with the body in an unnoticeable way. The ventilation is effective. The pockets store things comfortably, and I actually forgot they were in there, but they do feel secure. The fabric is thin and has a slight stretch but it is durable enough to protect against most brush. I don't know yet how it performs under wet conditions or liquid spills. Good pants.

Comfy hiking pants that don't feel like plastic

Most hiking pants are made with 95% or more nylon. While I understand the benefits to this from a hiking perspective, I've always felt like the result is a "cheap" plasticky feeling pant that I never actually enjoy wearing. For years I've just accepted that this is the necessary trade-off with hiking pants, but these pants are living proof that doesn't have to be the case. These are the most comfortable hiking pants I've ever owned. They strike the perfect balance between comfort, stretch, abrasion resistance, and breathability. I already bought a 2nd pair and don't think I'll ever be able to go back to my old 95% nylon pants again.

Great All purpose pair of pants for everday use.

I Kuhl pants. I'm not a hiker but these pants are great to travel in. I travel a great deal around the world and on an airplane these are super comfortable. They don't ride up on you. They dry quick if you spill something on them or if they get wet. They're very adaptable to all climates too because they are vented. And they have lots of pockets which makes it very convenient to store your phone, glasses, I even use the thigh pocket to hold my passport. I know Kuhl probably never intended this use for them. But Kuhl are my "go to travel airplane pants". I own 8 pair. They are comfortable, versatile, stylish, and can be matched with regular clothing. Kuhl I am a fan for life.

Great fit and comfort

Very good pair of hiking pants. I found them to be very comfortable during several day long hikes. Pants dry quickly after getting caught in a rain storm. Unlike the REI brand hiking pants which I tried on in the store and really liked, these have two back pockets. One for my wallet and the other for my bandanna. The size runs true. I am a 34 waist and these fit spot on. Very satisfied with these pants, I plan to buy a second pair next trip to REI.

Solid Purchase

This was my first pair of Kuhl hiking pants and after trying them on the first time I was confident in my decision to upgrade from the lower quality hiking pants I was used to buying. These offer a snug fit without hindering movement which means I no longer had to wear loose uncomfortable and most importantly unattractive hiking pants. I was concerned about staying cool with Kuhl's rugged fabric but not only was I comfortable during several fall hikes, I was never bothered by the heat.

Didn’t meet expectations

These are pretty expensive pants, I wouldn’t have been able to afford them normally but I received a gift card at Christmas. I went to the REI store here and tried on different brands of pants and decided I liked these, but they didn’t have my size 34x34. I tried a 34x32 length and they fit great just not long enough, although I had reservations about the weird button/fastener. I ordered the pants in my size through rei and when I got them the waist was noticeably smaller and they fit differently. The button won’t stay buttoned, the side pockets hold items at odd angles and I wish I would have sent them back when I first got them.

Much better than the old version

I have worn these about a year now so can give a fair review. First thing is that the fabric in the "Konfidant air Pants" is FAR superior to the "Kontra Air pant". I tried those last year and they honestly did not last 3 days just wearing them around the house there was already a hole "worn" into them in the crotch area. They felt fantastic, the best pants ever as far as comfort and feel but the fabric durability wise was an epic fail. Now the fabric on these feels just about as good but is very durable. The fit and feel are outstanding. In fact, I really hate to wear any other pants now, I even wear these in the winter I just wear long underwear. The cell phone pocket and rear pockets are life changing. You can slide your phone into and out of your pocket while sitting down, the phone never gets in the way. I can't wear pants without this pocket now. So buy this version they are the best pants you will ever wear

Great All Around Pants

These pants not only fit well and look very good they are as functional as I have found. They have become my go to's for nearly every activity. I wore them while exploring parts of the South Island of New Zealand, on talk about in Australia and day hikes in Virginia, I wear them when I go out to clubs on weekends and they get rave reviews in the looks category but for me they are cool comfortable and non binding in all the right places.

Great Pants

I bought a pair of these because they looked great and wanted something to wear besides jeans. As soon as you put them on, you can tell that these are very comfortable and non-restricting; I think I wore them for 3 days straight before I reluctantly put them in the hamper. Wore them on a three hour hike and the vents actually work well, so even though the temps went up during the hike, I never felt like I was hot.

hard to beat these

I have nearly forsaken my denim jeans since I discovered these. They are undoubtedly the coolest, most comfortable, best fitting pant I have. I wear them while traveling, even wore them every day on a two week motorcycle trip in Laos. I could wash the dust out in the sink at night and they would be dry in the morning. The cotton/ nylon mix is perfect and the vents keep me comfortable in the tropics. Add some long underwear and I'm good to go in colder weather as well. If you want a slimmer, functional, good looking masculine fit, these are the ones.
