Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, well-fitting multipurpose pants I bought these about a month ago (June 2015) and am really liking them so far. They fit great - not too baggy - and they're very comfortable. I got the Charcoal ones and I've worn them to work - they might look a little "jean-ish", but I don't mind. They also work for hiking - the stretch helps. I wish more clothes were made that can go straight from office to trail. So far, the only negative I would say is that they make a slight amount of noise (not too bad though) when walking which I don't like when I'm photographing in the outdoors, but everything else seems to be about perfect. This is my first Prana product and I'm impressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Will change your life! These pants will change your life! Hyperbole? Perhaps a bit. But I kid you not, these pants are unlike anything I have ever experienced. These pants are the answer to the struggle that has plagued mankind for centuries - I don't want to wear jeans, but sweatpants and windpants are too sloppy. Boom! Enter these bad boys. Incredibly comfortable, you will wonder how you made it this far in life without them. The biggest issue you will have is mentally starting to justify buying yet another pair of $75 pants so that you can have more than one to hang around in. THESE PANTS ARE SICK!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love these pants After owning a pair for about a year, I just ordered another pair in a different color. Although I love to hike, I wear these to work (casual) and social activities. They maintain a sharp look wearing after wearing, and I find them quite comfortable. Care is easy: I wash them with all my other clothes, and have either hung them to dry or put them in the dryer. The label on the pants says "slim fit", and I do find them to fit a bit snug. The material stretches, however, so I can see how theyd make good hiking pants. I'm satisfied with the durability of the first pair, so the quality is what you'd hope for with a Prana product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than jeans! It's very difficult to find jeans that fit and STRETCH like these. I like wearing pants when most wear shorts for the lower leg protection. I wear these for light work outs, hikes and then wear them to a business casual and or fishing! I wear these in deep sea San Diego and they work great. They repel water and, blood & guts wash out like nothing. Try that with regular cotton sweats or jeans. And they dry fast too. They are excellent as a travel pant without the dorky zippers and cargo pockets. BTW the slim cut is not as tight fitting as last year's. I wear a 38 in cotton jeans but 36 in these jeans. They are pricey but I get so much wear out of these. I keep two pairs so I can rotate. I really like these jeans.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight pants, simple style This is a versatile pair of pants. Very light weight and comfortable. I also love the lack of gaudy adornments, extra pockets (which is ok for hiking but not always), weird pointless seams, etc. Perfect for outdoor activities or for a wearing to work with a button shirt. Also not tapered at the bottom (getting harder to find just regular straight pants), just a perfect fit (for me) along the entire length. I'm 6'-4" and 215 lbs (fairly average build) if that helps. I will say, they run a little long. I always wear a 34 length, but I have the 32 in these and wouldn't want them any longer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pants but no 33W I have 2 pair of these great pants in a 33W/32L bought directly from prAna. They sell them in 33 waist. As an REI member since 1978, I would love to buy more from REI but you don't offer a 33 waist. Why not?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Almost great I love the fabric and the stretch it provides, waist and crotch fit great, but for some reason the legs are super wide and they feel like bell bottoms. It's like for the 30" inseam they just cut the longer pants short instead of tailoring them specific to that length. I'm not buying these for fashion but I'd like them to have a reasonable profile.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better for general use than for the outdoors As a comfortable pair of pants with technical features without looking like they are technical gear, they get 5 stars. The gusset and the stretch are great. Where they fell apart was on the trail, specifically when it rained. I didn't expect them to be rain pants, but despite being advertised as having a DWR, they soaked through in seconds during a light rain. This led to a very uncomfortable climb up Mt. Fuji on a recent trip. I have older, crappier NF nylon pants that resist rain much better (but are far less comfortable). On the plus side, they did dry reasonably quickly. I am torn about returning them, as I really do like them a lot as casual pants, but the price is pretty high for outdoor pants that don't protect from the elements. They aren't quite the holy grail pants I have been searching for.

Are the men's Prana Brion pants made from the same material as the Zion pant? What is the difference between the two?

Asked by: Fleets Fleet
Both the Brion and Zion pants are made from a 97% nylon/3% spandex. The materials are the same. The Brion pants have a slim fit while the Zion pants have a standard fit.

Are these good pants for the winter?

Asked by: Dathan Miller
These pants can be worn comfortably during the winter but are not an insulating pant nor are they designed for snow activities. They will serve you best in moderate, dry adventures and for everyday, around town use.

Can these pants be used for birding in Arizona in April/May. 90 degree weather ?

Asked by: Linda
These pants are a fine choice for hot weather conditions. They are made from a nylon/spandex mix that is breathable and quick to dry.
